A melodic ethnic flavored soundscape with a pensive pulse, which becomes increasingly more anxious and powerful toward the end with off-set percussive elements and off-beat /syncopated orchestral SFX. 

The mourning violins and the female vocal lament (separately first and then as call / response) create an atmosphere of sadness - anguish and pain of war. The ending briefly highlights the battle and then just evaporates ... into history, or?

This symphonic with nylon guitar piece from my CD "Keepsakes" was is inspired by the mysterious disappearance of the airplane Star Dust in 1947 on its flight from Argentina to Chile. Fifty years later the plane was discovered to have crashed but the final words of the crew “stendec, stendec, stendec” still remain a mystery

This song is very link to my memory while I was walking around in Nepal in 2000. It was everywhere, all time, especially in Pokhara. 

Special thanks to wonderful chorus group "The Cicadas".
And my daughter played the alto-recorder.

Annapuruna -Ice Lake-
While walking around Nepal, one day I went for a walk to Ice Lake. There were almost no other people and I was almost alone. 
There was a little wind, but the weather was very nice and the mountains of the Himalayas with the yaks grazing and the blue sky and glaciers were very beautiful.
It came suddenly when I stopped for a while and took a break.
My head was full of "What ?! What happened ?!"
Suddenly the wind stopped, the yaks stopped, and in this vast landscape there was no sound, no sound at all.
I felt that the mountains carrying the glaciers came one big step closer to me, and I looked back unintentionally.
Perhaps it was only a few seconds, but I felt like I shouldn't even make a breathing sound, and I felt a little scared. It was a mysterious experience that made me feel like I was in a different world.
Eventually the wind returned and the yaks began to move slowly as before, and the sound returned as if nothing had happened.
A world without sound at all, when you think about it, it may be something that you can hardly experience.

ネパールを歩き回っていた時、ある日アイスレイクへの散歩へ出かけました。ほとんど他に人はいなくてほぼ一人でした。
風が少しありましたがとてもいい天気で放牧中のヤク達と青空と氷河を携えたヒマラヤの山々がとても美しかったです。
そんな中でちょっと立ち止まって休憩していた時にそれは突然やってきました。
頭の中で「何？！何が起きた？！」がいっぱいになりました。
突然風がやんで、ヤクたちも静止し、この広大な景色の中で何ひとつ音がしない状態、全くの無音の状態がやってきたのです。
氷河を携えた山々がずんっと一歩近づいて来たような気配を感じて思わず振り返ってしまいました。
おそらくほんの数秒だったのでしょうが、まさに息をのむように自分も呼吸音すら出してはいけないような気になり、少し恐ろしさすら感じました。違う世界に入り込んでしまったような不思議な経験でした。
やがて風が戻りヤク達も元のようにゆっくりと動き出し、何もなかったかのように音も戻りました。
全く音のない世界、考えてみると実はほとんど経験できないことなのかもしれません。
