Smookie Illson - Uptown Downtown ft. Hasizzle [EDM.com Premiere]

Initially released back in 2004, "Information Critic" is a bumping rocksteady/hip hop track featuring UK dancehall legends The Ragga Twins & Daddy Freddy. Despite picking up radio plays at the time, it found its way into only a handful of DJs boxes, one of whom was NICE UP! founder DJ Shepdog who has re-licensed the track and commissioned new remixes for 2011. 

First up, everyone's favourite, "Badman" Benny Page gives it a junglist relick, upping the tempo and dropping some classic dancehall vibes. Next up, fellow NICE UP! cohort Jstar delivers a moombahton style rework, showing a new direction for this in-demand producer. Finally Ninja Tune rockers The Heavy (currently still hitting it big in Hollywood) drop a head nodding reggae/hip hop version rounding this remix package off nicely! Brand new second hand vibes...
