Sometimes I feel like we all carry little stories inside us —
moments we’ve lived, people we’ve loved,
tucked away like letters in a drawer.
And then, out of nowhere — a smell, a sound, a song —
opens that drawer again.
Suddenly you’re right back there, in a place you thought you’d left behind.
Some people say, “Let the past stay in the past.”
But I don’t think it ever really leaves.
It just hides for a while,
waiting for something — or someone — to wake it up again.
My new song is about that moment —
when memory comes alive,
and you realize: everything you’ve been through
is still part of who you are.
The song’s called “Don’t Let the Stories Sleep.”

I still recall their faces,
the streets where we would run,
the smell of summer raindrops,
the song we used to hum.
Time has softly faded
those pictures from my mind,
but sometimes just one moment
brings them all to life.

Don’t let the old stories sleep,

They carry my laughter, my courage, my tears,
they’ve shaped my heart through all these years.
What once lay behind still lives in me,
hidden maybe, but it’s part of me.

Then I stand beside that river,
and see myself in light,
see faces long forgotten –
but they’re still inside.
