The Robot Scientists are two German DJs, record collectors and "super selectors" Markus Schneider and Stefan Maurer, the guys behind Emerald & Doreen Records and the acclaimed SOMETHING SPÆCIAL DJ podcast series. 

They are known for their energetic DJ sets somewhere between Electronic/Space Disco, Deep Tech-House and New Wave. As kids of the 80s, you can hear the influences of that iconic decade in all their mixes and in most of the stuff they put out on their boutique label.

The highly energetic mix they made for our series features more peak time tracks, after their recent mixes for Oberwave and Hippies 2.0, which were more Dark Disco and Cosmic Balearic/Chill Out.

This Story is based on the theory of "Cosmological Constant", the representation of the energy density that arises in the Einsteins general relativity equation. Sound cannot travel in this vacuum, if it all it does, it only takes a leap. This law in our space time was used as an inspiration and the lower end of acid frequencies (sub bass ranging from 90khz to 250 khz) was used for my transitions due to its hollow nature, just like vacuum energy.

QMLS December Radio Show with Javier Busto

Stevie R & Parisinos have formed a formidable sonic partnership, with impressive releases planned for this year (Playground Records, ME ME ME, Chapter 24 Records, and imprint Inside Out Records). With a focus on combining greek folk music rebetiko with slower rhythms, acid lines and powerful percussion sounds, their distinct sound captivates and hypnotises dancefloors. Stavros Potamitis and Constantinos Parisinos also co-own and run Inside Out Records. This mix in centred on mostly unreleased tracks that will feature on the labels’ future releases.
