Восток, pronounced "Vostok", means "east" in russian. The title is a tribute to the spacecraft Восток-6 and its pilot; Valentina Tereshkova; the fifth russian cosmonaut and the first woman in space. 

This expedition was the sixth of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics' space program manned by humans. It was launched on June 16, 1963 12:30 (Moscow time) and is, although  successful, a not very well known program where Tereshkova orbited the Earth 49 times - 1,250,000 miles - in two days, 22 hours and fifty minutes with an average 88.3 minutes for each orbit. She landed safely by parachute two days later in Kazakhstan, several hundred miles from where she had taken off.

The radio conversation in the midst of the track is between Ms Tereshkova and that time's USSR- leader Nikita Khrushchev. He congratulates her on her achievement and speaks of his "fatherly pride" for her.

She held the world record of the longest flying cosmonaut/ astronaut until year 2000.

I grabbed kick and snare, tweaked bass synth for a jamming in Korg Gadget app on iPhone 6s. My Depeche Mode piece of DNA turned the thing into a session of interpretation for “I See You” too fast. I noticed the hook turns alike this fab song from my fav 1982 album “A Broken Frame”. I submit and had a blast!

100% organic Korg Gadget sound. Literally two lines. Drum and Bass (but not that DnB one). First is drum machine spirited beats, London. Second bad ass bass from gadget Dublin. Single bass track because synth notes choke and fight each other this way. Small post treatment in Ableton Live 9.7 for more fun. British and White Channel compressors by IK Multimedia. T-Racks Classic EQ, Plate and Hall Reverb CSR, Quad Image IK tools. Automated.

Working out with Robby the robot catching chemical snow on a distant planet and carrying on the theme of kewl gadgets n gizmos with inspiration from the very kool work of Isao Tomita and his early experiments with electronics and sound, this is an orginal electronic tranced dub sci-fi technotronicxz styled track created using a Moog Theremini and rather than play notes by hand via the antena i sent different midi CC controller messages from cubase to create constant drone sounds in the right key and changed the pitch, frequecies and volume this also allowed me to have some type of control over the tempo and syncnronization of the theremini as it hasnt got any! I then synced a Korg SQ-1 sequencer with cubase which was hooked up to little bits using two pitch oscillators a filter and a delay module with the midi out from the SQ-1 hooked up with a Roland tr606 drum machine via a Doepfer dyn sync to trigger it, i also used a cv trigger from little bits to Teenage engineersings Tonic and for the techy nuts amongst us or anyone else theres some links below to the gear used!
