Hasvat Informant - Iridescence

Eora (Sydney) based collective Headnoiz, presents the second installment of their developing imprint. Featuring original works from Naarm (Melbourne) residing producers Mick Gristle and Hasvat Informant, whose collaborative efforts synergised to form their “Chiral Centers” EP.

The EP's four original productions traverse a myriad of genres and themes whilst still maintaining an impressively cohesive atmosphere of ominous euphoria.

Chiral Centres also includes two dancefloor friendly remixes. The first being a driving psychedelic interpretation of "Last Apparition" from Copenhagen based live duo "Atikka", followed by an anthemic trance rework of the opening track "Swordbox" courtesy of Ute's "Omformer".

Ode to Olive is a release, event and fundraising project initiated and curated by proud Wiradjrui/Ngunnawal man LANDFILL and platformed via MEGANESIA.

Honoring his late Grandmother and matriarch of the family, Olive, and with all proceeds from the project going to Wirringa Baiya and Deadly Connections, this project has been brought together from artists that LANDFILL not only admires for their artistry, but also their outward support for his people’s self determination and healing.

Artwork for the release has been contributed by Naarm based visual artist, Yugambeh and Kuku Yalnji man Nicholas Currie.

@hasvat-informant returns to @amniote-editions under his Intellagama alias with his next EP, 'Reciprocate', fusing tender, wandering synths, washes of twitching percussion, layered aerial textures and pulsing rhythms.

"I really enjoyed writing this track," Intellagama says of the title single. "I set out to create something with a specific blend of texture, mood and melody, and after several iterations I feel I struck the balance I was after."

All proceeds from this release will be donated to Palestine Children's Relief Fund.

Premiere: Intellagama 'Reciprocate'

@hasvat-informant returns to Amniote Editions under his Intellagama alias with the Reciprocate EP. The HbF capsule sees the Naarm (Melbourne) based producer implant a fusion of sonic explorations; tender wandering synths, washes of twitching percussion, layered aerial textures and pulsing rhythms merge together to full visceral effect.

Heliobolus (@spekkiwebu) and @eastern-distributor feature on the remix tip to dizzying effect, with delicate cuts that build into deep, palpitating odysseys.

The HbF capsule will be unleashed in full force on the 23rd Feb alongside a run of limited edition caps with spiral embroidery designed by Copenhagen based design studio Alexis Mark. The caps will be available for purchase via Proton Records, more info to follow.

Omni – meaning all-encompassing – is an apt title for celebrating over a decade of existence of Blue Hour Music. Marking the musical diversity and longevity of Blue Hour's imprint, the Omni V/A series brings together a wide range of artists from the full electronic music spectrum, plunging into a pool of techno, trance, breaks and everything in between.

Approaching nearly 50 releases in vinyl and digital formats, remix series and sub-labels as well as limited edition merch, the imprint has swerved hypes, trends and fads throughout its long-running tenure. Platforming quality productions by artists worldwide, Blue Hour Music has forged a name of its own in a landscape that evolves with mercurial speed.

Like Blue Hour's sound as an artist, it's impossible to classify the label's discography into a single category or genre. "For our second release, circuit|breaker quips back the stacked offering of CBRK001 with another dynamic double LP, exhibiting some of the best local and international talent that’s cropped up on our radar over recent years.

The label is as driven as ever to build a bridge between our community and the wider electronic music domain, giving artists a platform to preach the sound that speaks to them, and this release is but another stepping stone towards greatness, for us and for them.

CBRK002 opens up with a rolling, gritty number that could only be Fergus Sweetland, as metallic voices beckon forth on ‘Untitled (ARP 1.02)’. Hasvat Informant, whose thunderous reputation precedes him, then storms the barn with the explosive ‘Abispa Ephippium’. The B-side shifts gears to Goa’s Dotdat and his frantically groovy track ‘Holo’, followed by a gorgeous minimal number by Berlin-based Pino Peña – Mia’s Pocket; one that’s sure to get summer dancefloors pumping.

The C-side of the record contains two heaving tracks, the C1 from the prominent force of Cloudy Ku with ‘A Room of One’s Own’, and the C2 from the dark visage that is disgrays with ‘Turmstraße’. The final side of the record has Amsterdam legend Juan Sanchez open the filter with a warm, jacking submission in ‘Indulge’, while the Berliner Marsch takes us home with a devious timbre that will have bodies glued to the floor on ‘Into You."

Celebrating the sonic history of the label as part of the anniversary. Artists who have contributed to capsules throughout the five years of the project were invited to dig into the entire back catalog of releases and create their own unique take. The result is a beautifully diverse 12-track compilation that reinvents tracks, spanning from the first capsule that launched the label to the joint fundraiser compilations with Ute Records to the recent collaboration with the Berlin-based collective Mala Junta.

Hasvat Informant’s debut album, Pluripotent XII, is a 12-track journey that reads between the lines of psychedelic electronics and contemporary techno. From driving, precise grooves to slow, textured explorations, the album carries the organic resonance of Australian underground culture while threading sharp influences from Detroit and beyond into a singular, unmistakably distinctive sound. 

On this dual release, Naarm-based artist alternates between his Hasvat and Intellegama personas, moving between them like a figure navigating parallel realities. Each track balances mechanical precision with expansive, trance-infused textures, creating a liminal space where urban and natural influences converge.

More than a display of technical skill, this debut conveys a sense of place, heritage, and lineage. Dwelling in both conflict and harmony, Pluripotent XII invites listeners into an otherworldly, lysergic landscape — complex, evolving, and fully realized.

In the same way, Amniote Editions’ capsules provide fertile ground for music to evolve — nurturing divergent practices, experimental forms, and cross-genre encounters.
