Under the moniker Trig, live techno virtuoso Michael West emerges, captivating audiences across New Zealand with his relentless rhythm-driven compositions and electrifying synth melodies. The distinctive Trig style is a fusion of drum machines and modular synthesis, meticulously crafted in the studio and brought to life on stage through the prowess of Ableton Live.

In a prior artistic incarnation, Michael West operated under the alias Sick Cycle, an accomplished drum and bass project with a legacy spanning over two decades. Trig, however, serves as the evolution of these acquired principles, expertly translated into the realm of live techno.

The year 2022 marked Trig's debut onto the scene, characterized by inaugural releases and performances. The inaugural event was the modular synthesis celebration "Modfest," accompanied by its corresponding album "Modfest22." In swift succession, as 2023 unfolded, the esteemed Christchurch collective Kind of Green extended invitations for Trig to grace several events and contribute to the label's discography.
