His sets are littered with electro and hip-hop styles, paired with an obsession for grimy distorted bass, out-the-gate rhythms and punchy syncopated drumbeats.

Based in Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington, New Zealand, Weka are true sonic adventurers. Weka’s distinctive sonic tapestry has seen them become in-demand performers and sound designers throughout the globe. Combining unique timbres with pulsing bass and punching drums, Weka’s instrumental electronic sound is diverse and thought provoking, urging audiences to dance uninhibitedly. Inspired by the likes of the Chemical Brothers, Bonobo, Groove Armada and Massive Attack, Weka will take you on a journey, from downbeat and post rock, through to techno and world inspired music.

In 2024 Weka pressed ahead, with a string of shows this summer and a album in the works for release in 2025, along with more sonic artwork. Keep your eyes and ears open for Weka: a unique sound taking New Zealand by storm.
