Jacy StaR is a … man with a passion for music and a dream of his music reaching people far and wide and bring joy into their lives. Growing up in South Africa in the 1980's, surrounded by the vibrant culture and music of cities like Cape Town, Johannesburg, and East London. From an early age, he was drawn to the pulsing beats and catchy melodies of Depeche Mode, Pet Shop Boys, Beastie Boys. As he got older, he became a regular at the nightclubs in the city, where he discovered the joys of the early electronic music by artists like technotronic, snap, kraftwork and 
front242 but was also influenced by all kinds of music listening to bands like AC DC, Def Leppard, Mötley Crüe, Pink Floyd, Queen, and Bob Marley.
The Jacy Star project is the union of various genres of music from around the world coming together to create unique eclectic beats rhythms and original sounds … the tracks. Are ever evolving and always telling a story sending out a message of encouragement and hope.

Southern California is where I reside. I enjoy making music in my garage. this music I make is mostly from external devices like the korg Volca series and the pocket operators made by Teenage Engineering.  sometimes I play guitar on tracks and other acoustic instruments. Hope you enjoy these sounds.
