Carl Cox is an industry figurehead whos legacy in music includes his iconic label Intec, which he runs with friend and business partner Jon Rundell, and the new release is a techno focused EP from Eats Everything.

As his fans already know, Eats Everything is an eclectic artist who is hard to pigeon hole, and recently his chunky sound tailored for the dance floor has started to incorporate a lot more techno.

Having first broken onto the scene following EPs on labels like Dirtybird and Petz Records, he has quickly risen through the ranks adding labels like Relief, Hypercolour and Crosstown Rebels to his impressive back catalogue.

Eats Everything is a successful solo artist but many will also be familiar with collaborations working with people such as Justin Martin, Green Velvet, Tiga, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Catz 'n Dogz and Claude VonStroke.

His first Essential Mix for Radio 1 is still widely considered one of the best, and his techno tracks and remixes have already found homes on labels including Pan-Pots Second State and Matador's Rukus.

Having already rubbed shoulders with many of electronic musics most iconic artists and arguably becoming an icon himself, its only logical that Carl Cox would be the next person to welcome Eats Everything into the fold, with this being his debut on Intec.

First on the EP is Bettah which centres around the thump of a thickset kick drum and filtered synth stabs. All about the down beat, the tracks jackin groove and rigid sound is brought to live with the energy of the soulful vocals stabs. Straight up techno with a party vibe this track is sure to set the dance floor alight.

Appropriately titled No Seatin Available the second cut on the EP makes you want to be on your feet while punching the air to the beat. Using tom drums to build a rolling groove, the tracks raw funk and dark atmosphere will have people rushing to the dance floor from all parts of the club once this gets hold

Unconformist -  Limits Of Social Norms EP

Almost one year in the making, Bulgaria’s outstanding techno talent lands his return to Drumcode with a four-track EP. 

Timmo (aka Valeri Ivanov) doesn’t do things in half measures. Since the release of his excellent ‘System’ EP last year and ‘Muzik’, his inclusion on A-Sides Vol.6, he’s committed himself to crafting, refining and polishing a quartet of cuts inspired by the cosmic realms beyond planet earth. Titled ‘Meteorite’, its release marks 10 years since he first began producing and stakes its claim as a resounding career highlight with tracks already highlighting gigs for Adam Beyer at Tobacco Dock, Awakenings, Future Kappa Festival and Junction 2.

Beginning with the title track, the streamlined work throbs with a searing synthetic pulse. ‘Black Moon’ sees the EP land its first blow, kicking with a mixture of undulating synths and understated hoovers. ‘Spacetime’ stays true to its name delivering intergalactic techno vibes. ‘Cosmos’ concludes the work, taking us into extra-terrestrial dancefloor territory, with a barrage of trippy synth work and a melodic underbelly the makes the track both beautiful and heavy-hitting in equal measure.

Originally from Kochi prefecture, now residing in Tokyo. He started organizing his own nights in 2011 where he honed his dj skills. Playing anything from classic to cutting-edge tracks, his smooth mixing brings a unique tension and intonation to the ﬂoor through individualistic loops. By gaining his reputation through his dj sets and an insatiable pursuit of the techno scene led him to play regularly in Osaka as well as various venues in mid and West Japan. As an organizer he has brought over many prevalent modern techno artists such as Claudio PRC, Ness, Luigi Tozzi and Refracted, in order to evolve the techno scene in Japan. In 2014 he moved to Tokyo where he linked up with his main partner Kannabi to start the techno party Katharsis. In recent years his music production skills have ﬂourished, hence, set up the label Katharsis Recordings. The ﬁrst release is sprit 12 from the Label founder Masafumi Take and Kannabi. Also include Iori and Takaaki Itoh remix. He is recognized as the next generation to take up the techno mantle in Japan.

On the 28th of August will see the release of Do Not Sleep 2020 by the Icelandic techno stalwart Exos. These are re-renditions of a classic club banger, originally released 15 years ago, carefully and tastefully engineered by the man himself. Chicago‘s finest, DJ Rush, did a fascinating reworks back on the original release in 2005 which are included in the release – and needless to say its still holding up perfectly and more-than-able to tear up any dancefloor.

Do Not Sleep 2020 is a carefully orchestrated legitimate club banger – an unusually hard track from Exos, who‘s more recognized for his finely-crafted dub techno anthems. It‘s fast-paced, hard-hitting and relentless. The 202020 version is an acid-fused voyage – slowly, but efficiently, reeling you in until reaching sonic orgasm. The Groove Magazine‘s Reader's Choice for most popular DJ in 2001, the legendary techno pioneer DJ Rush, offers couple of treats for the ears and body with his shuffle techno signature sound. If those two remixes don‘t physically induce involuntary movements within your body, then you might possibly be dead.

Exos has been in the forefront of the Icelandic techno scene for 23 years now with music out on labels like Trip, Delsin, Mosaic, Thule and his own X/OZ label. Recently he released a fulllength album Indigo on Len Faki‘s imprint Figure.

This is the fifth release from the Planet X label, a side-label to X/OZ Music. It was founded in 2019 and is brainchild of Exos himself.

Cisco Ferreira’s seminal techno act The Advent returns to Ben Klock’s imprint in September with three distinctly turbo-charged cuts, following his release on the label’s 22nd instalment in 2018.

A pioneer of early British techno, the London-based producer began his career in the halls of the legendary Jack Trax label as a sound engineer, going on to produce cutting edge releases on imprints R&S, Tresor and Transmat. This latest Klockworks release relinquishes the sparse energy of The Advent’s live sets from the 90’s with these previously unreleased timeless live recordings. Favouring off-kilter percussion and warbled bass, all three strike hard with a distorted and visceral energy.

Bipolar Disorder co-owner Chlär delivers his Artificial Supremacy’ EP as the latest release in the label’s vinyl series this summer, backed by a remix from fellow co-owners The Chronics.

Opening the package with title track ‘Artificial Supremacy’ invites
frenzied drum licks alongside further menacing lead lines to take the EP firmly into the peak time hours, while The Chronics’ interpretation - a spiralling, high-octane journey combines bright, resonant, and darker more sinister atmospheres.

On the flip, in ominous fashion, lead production ‘Deeply Rooted In Us’ is a snaking, warping cut armed with off-kilter synths, hefty kicks and murky low-end sonics, whilst ‘Consciousness Computation’ lays the focus on rumbling percussion and hypnotic synth melodies throughout.
