Oliver Deutschmann is no stranger to injecting compounding techno that builds with emphatic passion before reaching a crescendo and cascading effusively.
The Berlin-based artist is releasing under the Belgian imprint Arkham Audio, which Cri Du Coeur heads. 
The label embarks on delivering forward-thinking and uns- hackled techno sounds. 
'The B-S Track' begins with rumbling jungle-like drums juxtaposed against a bleeping machine infused synth. 
The bleeps and bloops develop until it sounds like a conversation with a droid. Eventually ensnared by tingling hats, it continues to rise with plenty of body.

The time has come for NINULANC, the latest EP from the Colombian duo Bimol.
In the Kogüi cosmogony NINULANC symbolizes one of the nine planes of the universe. The Bimol NINULANC is a return to the roots. An homage to that magnanimous sound of the jungle that is strengthened this time by the wind of the “gaita” of Paito, a member of Los Gaiteros de San Jacinto and who has contributed a dash of that Caribbean minstrel magic in this work, Confidential Recipe and Jauri come in to contribute their sonic beats for revolutionary music lovers.

In the words of BIMOL themselves, NINULANC is an instinctive musical response to the social situation that Colombia is going through.

The NINULANC dimension opens with AGALLAS the combination between Bimol and Jauri brings the percussion and falling drops that the rivers claim, ode to the spiritual world of these artists. FRAGMENTO EN LA is a shamanic trance of impulsive beats that contrast with a melancholic sound and powerful lyrics. The next stop is NINULANC, a hypnotic journey that celebrates the techno sound orchestrated by soft vocals tangled between Paito’s gaita. TRY TO BE HERE, the collaboration between Bimol and Confidential Recipe, powerful and magnetic rhythms. A track designed for the dancefloor, orchestrated with vocals that invite energetic dance inspired by the raw sounds of classic techno, CANTO DE LA LIBELULA, an eccentric breakbeat poem. As we continue on our journey here at Futurepast, we are pleased to welcome a trio that, for many years, we felt shared our vision, Frak! From Sweden, Frak have been founding an original hardware-based sound since the 80’s, first via their own label Börft before collaborating with other labels over three whole decades. 
 
On their ‘Formless Obstruction’ EP, Frak have provided a window into the sinister twists and turns of their work. On the A-side, you see creeping Detroit stylings of ‘Scientific Bella’ set against ‘Wrong Owl’ with it’s EBM underpinnings and industrial inflections. On the flip, ‘Concentrated Feed’ bubbles next to the razor sharp ‘Capacity Faun’, both are filled with characteristic machine quirks and experimentalism.

Johan Sturesson, Jan Svensson and Björn Isgren, better known to most as Frak are an electronic outfit based out of Karlskrona in southern Sweden, since the late 80’s through their own Börft Records, Frak have been releasing a heady brew of material ranging from EBM, New Wave and Minimal through to more robust Techno, Acid, Electro and all things in between. Recorded @ Studio Styrka January & February 2021, Karlskrona - Sweden.

"We hadn’t met for some time, as we live in different cities. So, when we joined forces for this recording, it was all from scratch and a bit of fumbling at first. But it struck us that this is it, this is the pure reason to why we do what we do. Jamming our way through machines and ideas is what it's all about."

Here they unveil their latest works via the Futurepast imprint and opening the release is ‘Scientific Bella Donna’, laid out across seven minutes with fuzzy distorted synth sequences, circling acid lines and crunchy analogue drums. Following is ‘Wrong Owl’, fuelled by a stuttering acid arpeggio, cavernous, reverberated drums and twitchy bass notes all dynamically evolving throughout.

Opening the flip side is ‘Concentrated Feed’, shifting focus to modulating percussion, gnarly, menacing bass drones and sporadic mind-altering synth melodies. ‘Capacity Faun’ then rounds out the release with crisp drums and choppy arp bass at its core, while stirring in dreamy bell chime melodies and squelchy resonant swells for an ethereal touch.
