Rudosa has been making impressions in the techno scene for over a decade by releasing an intelligent, yet driving strain of music on the likes of Intec, Second State and We Are The Brave. With the lead track of this first release being supported heavily by the likes of Amelie Lens, Richie Hawtin and Pan-Pot to name a few, starting his own label came as the natural next step for this well-honed sound smith.

‘Obsolescence’, a superb seven-minute cut with cosmic lead synths and hammering drums that drive you late into the night, with its intensity it’s designed for main rooms. If you’ve come across Amelie Lens’ all-new fabric presents mix, then the name of Ahl Iver shall definitely ring a bell. In addition to a forthcoming appearance at the next Exhale party in Antwerp in February 2020, where he’ll get to share the stage with Richie Hawtin, Helena Hauff, Kobosil, Stephanie Sykes and the whole LENSKE family, new sensation Ahl Iver is undeniably on the cusp of big things, and his debut EP, ‘Haunted Patterns’, sets the tone in gutsy fashion.

The opening track ‘7AM’ features a punchy gabber kick and rush, hard-hitting drums and a healthy dose of slimy acid squelch to leave you dazed and confused for a while. Adding his ever efficient spin to the original, LENSKE mainstay Milo Spykers reworks the groove onto straightforward clubby railway as he sure knows well how to subdue the dancers through the most wildly enjoyable ankle-twisting/brain-melting manoeuvres.

As its name suggests the title-track ‘Haunted Patterns’ is a spooky dance floor affair. Allowing a 4/4 hell to break loose on the basement while enveloping it in further hypnotic synths and intense cosmic vibrations. Lovers of classic Altern-8 style hardcore shall find the perfect outlet to their headbanging fantasies in the euphoria-inducing ‘Rave Simulator’. With four cuts tailored to take clubs and dance floors by storm, Ahl Iver steps up for his debut record on LENSKE.

In May 2018, Belgium's Amelie Lens launched LENSKE, the fruit of working on new music and collaborating with her peers. The aim was to create a platform to release her own and friend's music that they use to tear apart dance floors around the globe. BPitch welcomes Italian acid duo Boston 168 back to the fold as the label’s 2020 campaign continues. The pair produced the ‘909 Therapy’ EP and the back in 2019 after their successful ‚Drops In Heaven’ debut
on BPitch, so it’s a pleasure to have them return with ‘Vax Of Love’, a three-track continuation of their ex- periments with industrial sounds and the timeless appeal of the beloved Roland TR-303 and its squelchy secretions. What we have here is the product of one of Italy’s ‘Motor Cities’, the ghosts of abandoned factories present in every beat, bassline and acid-tinged motif...
First up is ‘Kiss My Accent’, a dense playful cut with a potent analogue hoover effect keeping the energy levels high. Pounding beats propel the track forward, while the analogue riff warps and twists, modulating into various guises throughout. It’s dramatic and tense, moving the listener physically and mentally.
This is followed by ‘Mononucleacid’, which has a morose feeling from the start. The drums stomp down sen- ding shockwaves through the ground as the rhythm grabs you and refuses to let go. We’re taken back with a nineties influence, though the production levels are crisp and contemporary. As the cut progresses Boston 168 cultivate a stirring atmosphere designed to ignite the dance floor and cause uproar.
Finally, ‘Vax Of Love’ takes us into breakbeat territory as the duo put their own spin on a familiar drum pattern. It’s strange and unique, with rousing organ-esque effects working in tandem with cosmic squelch effects and a wistful spoken word sample. The beats switch up, taking on a 4x4 rhythm at one point, Boston 168 showcasing their creative flair with this one. The intensity increases after a short breakdown, leading us to the interstellar ending...
