While recording he transported mentally to a warehouse in LA with rumbling techno pouring out of an enormous sound system surrounded by people in collective bliss. Best listened to on high volume.'

Global Vibe Radio 384 Feat. Milo Spykers

I'm excited to show you my opening set for VER:Air in which I let my most techno side come out. 

As an artist one always wanders between different genres and falls in love with some more than others along the way. This always grow and varies along with oneself as time goes by and different experiences come your way.

Being able to express feelings in different ways, with different styles and intensities gives me a feeling of freedom and pleasure. I hope these sensations reach you too!

With the Subjective Representation EP, Balrog has channelled frustrations and observations around the current political spectrum in to three blistering tracks full of distorted aggression.

With each of these tracks Balrog has sought to focus on creating consistent energy and staying true to his sound. Repetitive yet developing grooves, rolling percussive elements and, stabbing vocal lines intertwined around throbbing low ends, demonstrate clearly the signature sound and style Balrog has become known for.

Also on this EP is a sensational remix from Milo Spykers. Having recently been a part of KHAVA06, we are thrilled to welcome him back to the label.

Milo's reimagining of Subjective Representation focusses on emphasising rolling percussion and dark synthesis all wrapped around a dense powerful kick. It lends itself perfectly to the release and is sure to become a favourite among the Khazad faithful.

Swaying within a wide array of dance music genres, from House & Disco to Jackin, Ghetto, Garage & Techno, Lucia brings old-school gems to the floor, creating unique music journeys between soulful grooves & driving rhythms. 

Her distinct sound, influenced by the scene of Detroit & Chicago, has brought her to some of the best clubs across Argentina, Uruguay Germany & Spain.

Since moving to Hamburg in 2019, she’s become a mainstay at esteemed venues like Südpol, Übel & Gefährlich, PAL, Golden Pudel, Mojo Jazz & performed at legendary underground spots in Berlin like Sisyphos, Heideglühen, Golden Gate, and most recently at one of the most respected and influential festivals in Germany, FUSION. 

During all these years she had the pleasure to share decks with house & techno icons such as Cassy, Roman Flügel, Kollektiv Turmstrasse, Boris Dlugosh, Ellen Allien, Helena Hauff, Sedef Adasï, St. David, Dennis Cruz, Los Suruba, Amelie Lens, Kolombo, among others. 

Following the release of her debut EP on Heattraxx Records, and with an upcoming release on Houseworx, she’s diving into her next projects, pushing her limits, always eager to satisfy her hunger for music.

INDUSTRIAL GROOVE IN YOUR NOSTRILS 

Khazad Records is the brainchild of label chief Balrog. 

The concept of the label was born out of a desire to release hard, industrial, and grooving techno, while also providing a platform for the best young producers to showcase their talent. In doing so, this will hopefully enable the further development of this style of industrial enthused grooving techno.

Khazad Records is a wholly inclusive collective. For this reason, every attempt will be made to ensure an even as possible gender balance of artists. In doing so we hope to address the gender imbalances that are still ever-present within the techno scene. 

As well as showcase the hottest talent in the scene right now, the label will also hope to unearth the future stars of the scene through a fully open demo policy:

- All demos will be listened too but must be sent to our email, this may mean that it takes some time for us to respond but rest assured we will get back to you and make every attempt to offer constructive advice if the demo does not suit the label.
- Tracks DO NOT need to be mastered before sending, we are looking for raw talent not the final product.
