Edvvin already known for his Ep Release on our Label, is heavily inspired by 90’s/00’s techno. His productions can be classified as a combination of tribal and hardgroove techno with lots of vocals, funky basslines and stabs. He is a fresh face in techno scene but his music is played by top DJs. So far, he released music on such labels as Frenzy Recordings, Numerus Records and Rave Your soul and now Deadline Records.

A name that has become synonymous with club driven techno in recent years, and armed with a catalogue of classy techno to show for it, German native Phil Berg steps up to leave his mark on the SK_X series with the ‘Raid’ EP.
The title track leads the 20th instalment of the SK_X series with an assortment of growling basslines, rolling percussion and rising synth-lines. ‘Y-Axis’ concludes the A side with a hypnotic synth groove complimented by an eerie atmosphere and texture throughout. The flip side breaks with ‘Kamino’, a dark affair packed with punchy kick drums, plucky bass and rhythmic percs. The record resolves with ‘Sinara’, a euphoric journey consisting of lush pads and rattling tones for its duration.

Now in its 200th instalment, this Podcast has given voice to a diverse offering of global talents across the musical spectrum, from the democratic rhythms of zeitgeist appropriate techno and house through to more avant-garde synthwork.

This next guest has cast a large shadow over the technosphere, so large in fact, that no introduction could fully encompass the breadth of his achievements. But in brief: Ben Klock is a titan whose formative years were spent playing marathon mixes to the crowds at Berlin’s (then recently opened) Berghain. Off the back of his endurance sets and the club’s success he became a household name whose influence grew to be felt across the world, with a body of work that includes appearances at an exhaustive list of clubs and festivals, a number of hot releases on Ostgut Ton and an equally respected self-run label (Klockworks) to boot. On this second imprint, his own productions have repeatedly seen the light of day, alongside those from the likes of DVS1, Sterac, Stef Mendesidis and younger talents like Temudo and Vil & Cravo. The sound, ubiquitous as it is, will be familiar to anyone involved in the world of electronic music and there’s good reason for that: Klock’s deep and percussive work and ability to pull from a wide range of influences have earmarked him as a unique agent for the techno cause. Aiming at trying to put the focus on the sounds, the noise, the harmonics and the music created from the interactions of all the elements within a track, and the reflection of the room it’s being listened to. The music in between the music, traces from the parallel dimensions that co-exists in time with ours.
