With foundations defined by artistic freedom and opportunity, the label represents a mutual appreciation for the digital and physical realms, with a debut VA presented on two slabs of glorious wax.
Our first VA installment opens with label co-founder ADMINISTRATOR’s erratic and brooding synth composition, ‘VER5e+01’. LSS kicks it up a gear with the soothing sensory zapper ‘Perch’. The B-side flips to Texas-based Decoder with the delirious hypnotic stomper, ‘Giggling’, followed by Lindsey Herbert’s dancefloor weapon straight out of L.A., ’Control’.
Co-founder Connor Wall opens the C-side with the rich and unrelenting grooves of ‘Setback’. Emerging Naarm sensation, Neo, pushes the pedal down with the face-melting ‘Suppressed Actions’. All followed by Lask’s no-nonsense, dimension transporting acidic roller ‘Deepbush’. Flip the record and flip out to Arthur Robert's thrilling 'Kepler 452b', closed out by Sweden-based Franz Jager’s lush techno heater ‘Kantine’, a superior rush of rhythm with flourishes of funk.

Mathys Lenne explores new and immersive techno sonics with his ‘Detlev’ EP on Mutual Rytm.

French DJ/producer Mathys Lenne’s artistic vision is rooted in his deep connection to rhythm. Telling stories with his sounds while drawing inspiration from poetry and cinema and blending hypnotic textures with raw intensity, his music is widely supported across the scene via labels like Mord, Hayes and more. Across five vinyl cuts and three digital bonuses, the four-deck wizard keeps it deeply atmospheric with his label debut on SHDW’s Mutual Rytm imprint, combining elements of psychedelic rock, unique voice samples and saturated synths to create a sound that feels immersive and unrestrained in contrast to the fast-paced, visceral techno he has become known for.

‘Detlev’ opens up with hefty kicks that demand you quicken your step, while industrial effects and creepy design brings the detail that makes the track pop. The classy ‘Natural Born Killers’ rides on firm kicks with loopy percussive details tightly coiled, ensuring you are forever on edge as the drums march on. ‘Choose Your Pill’ is a stripped-back and pulsing deep techno cut with deft synths that peel off the groove, before ‘Untidy Echo’ delivers a cavernous sound with sparse hits and low-end rumbles that place you in the centre of an underground cavern. ‘Enfer ou Ciel’ featuring D.E.S brings a sense of melancholy in the occasional string sounds and watery droplets that float over more frictionless, meditative beats - while the trio of digital bonus cuts brings moody subterranean rollers ranging from snaking and dubby to more drum-led and eerie tones.

Moving Pressure marks its fifth release, and the first one to stretch across a double vinyl with full sleeve artwork. It isn’t framed as an album, yet its sequencing carries a narrative weight that lingers between immediacy and introspection.

MP05 welcomes on board Australian producer Connor Wall, whose work fuses tightly wound rhythm and immersive atmosphere, balancing precision with a sense of openness. His sound is rooted in the physical pull of the dancefloor, yet drawn toward zones of suspension and elusion. And Moving Pressure 05 captures that duality very clearly. Momentum sets the tone from the outset – taut drum programming, metallic accents, and structures that build energy in decisive bursts. There’s a sense of propulsion that feels engineered for peak hours, exuding a tightening grip on the floor. Gradually, tension loosens up, stretching patterns into spirals, layering vaporous pads and resonant low-end that opens a more interior space.

Together, the two arcs trace Wall’s range with clarity: body and mind, force and dissolve. Rather than presenting opposites, they reveal different angles of the same language. An exploration of density, atmosphere, and the subtle thresholds between the two.

Transmitting from deep in the Finnish underground, Nazar sends out a signal of mysterious, synthetic auras and shadowy, skittering sequences. From smoky outsider techno to rainy-day electro abstraction, the labels emphasis is on expression and intrigue as each release reaches across the energetic spectrum of moody machine music.

The first release on Nazar presents a cast of protagonists from the Helsinki scene who share precisely the kind of nocturnal tendencies the label is seeking out. Seasoned duo General Electrix open up the A side with Redshifter, a silken web of 606-powered electro and warmly haunted synth work that nods to the early years of Autechre. Making an early step out into the public domain, Asyx follows up swiftly with the exquisitely detailed machine funk of kVelorum, where a vivid tapestry of noise, squelch and bleep techno gets smartly woven between airy pad tones and a rock-solid rhythm section.

On the B side, Helsinki mainstay Kaiunta brings a dramatic flourish to mid tempo creeper Phantasm, matching a densely packed rumble of live drums with sweeps of nervy atmospherics and a murky inversion of the classic gated trance lead. 53X rounds out the Nazar mission towards broad BPMs and fresh ideas with a crunchy swerve towards sample-heavy downtempo laced with
a generous dose of psychedelics and angular noise.

NAZAR001 is the kind of record that yields surprises and slots into unexpected moments depending on when and where the needle drops, providing versatile moments for adventurous selectors and continuing the fine tradition of outsider electro and techno from Finland.
