This week's Local Selection is from Dublin native and rising DJ and producer Aoise, as we invite her to soundtrack your Wednesday afternoon.

The young DJ and producer is a graduate of the Sunil Sharpe, Doug Cooney and DeFeKT school of excellence, having studied DJ techniques and music production at BIFE. There have been many high hitters to come from this course and after hearing Aoise's take on tunes we look forward to what's in store for her.

Her sound stems from dark, dubby techno that has developed and matured through the years, taking inspiration from the likes of Ø [Phase], Sterac, Oscar Mulero and Sleeparchive. 

Having shared lineups with some of Europe's heavy hitters Christoph Faust (FKA Inhalt Der Nacht), Sunil Sharpe, Tommy Holohan and Shampain, we expect to see much more of her in the future. 

You can catch Aoise supporting Clouds this Friday in Dublin, plus at the Life Festival launch party on April 29th in Mullingar.

And this summer she has the honour to play at MO:DEM festival in Croatia.

We're excited to welcome Anna Hjalmarsson to the GF series. As a DJ, the Frankfurt-based sound artist is a resident at iconic Offenbach club Robert Johnson and local EOS Radio. She is the founder of the independent label Stoscha which features music by Guenter Råler, Air Max '97, Geocities, and others. In her recent project Echoes from the club, Hjalmarsson entered the empty spaces of Robert Johnson in Frankfurt for a set of field recordings that collected lost sounds and traces of noise from the space, mounting them into a set of samples and loops. The artist does numerous installations that speak to her Scandinavian background and combines her sound design and composition techniques. Her selection for the series is wall-to-wall techno and electronics that clearly show her distinctive style. Lock in!

Benales is a DJ and producer known for his unique blend of raw, dark, and deep techno and house, with nods to Detroit influences. Based in France, he has been making waves in the underground techno scene since the late 90s. With an extensive vinyl collection and a talent for selecting tracks that resonate with crowds, Benales has become a respected DJ in Europe, regularly playing at top clubs such as Tresor, Rex Club, Radion or Le Sucre, and sharing the stage with renowned artists such as DVS1, Zadig, Surgeon, Steve Bicknell, Dj Pete, and James Ruskin.

Aside from his skills behind the decks, Benales is also a gifted music producer. He has released several EPs and remixes on acclaimed labels such as Sino (Technasia label), KEY Vinyl (Freddy K label), Mitsubasa, Analog Solutions, Knotweed, Diffuse Reality, and more. In addition, he is a signed artist on Construct Re- Form label, with several releases on the horizon, including a VA on KS R, CRF, Matterwave, and S.lab.

Benales's talent for music production has earned him international recognition, especially for his releases "Elements part 1 & part 2". His unique style and skills as a DJ and producer have cemented his status as a respected figure in the underground techno community, known for his powerful and unforgettable sets.

The Mix 057: Tigerhead

999999999 is an abstract concept from the minds of two people who do not feel the need to define it. It is spontaneous, random, unlimited. This project, officially started in July 2016, has already affected several important Clubs and Parties in different cities in Europe and aroused much interest even outside the continent. First two releases on their label "Nine Times Nine" and the most recent appearance on Planet Rhythm special "303" vinyl release were immediately sold out after few hours. Live is what they are whether in or out of the studio, they are spontaneous. Improvisation with hardware is the key element of their performance and is impossible to replicate.
