Multicoloured blasts of undulating, unstable tapestries, ricocheting Dancehall mutations over reverbed-out dread techno bassline warps

Raised on a diet of  1970s Afrobeat, Jùjú music & genre-defying Black American pop, Ruoho's music draws upon the visceral aesthetics of dub, techno, garage & impractical melodic leitmotifs from experimental electro-acoustics, fusing them into imaginative new exhilarations, sometimes 4-on-the-floor, other times Avant-dubwise or ambient. His music has been described by some as “vaporous”, “aching and expansive” & “a wicked dub abstraction”.

Ruoho won an international BBC Radio 1 remix competition, reshaping Steve Reich's seminal piece “Music for 18 Musicians” & has released 12" vinyl records on numerous boutique labels like Unfulfillment (Montréal), Zero G Sounds (Boston), Thoughtless Music (Toronto), de'fchild productions (San Francisco), Adjunct Digital (Los Angeles), Skor Records (Los Angeles), Auralism (San Francisco) & Creaked Records (Switzerland). He has performed live at the Winter Music Conference (Miami), Decibel Festival (Seattle) as well as numerous underground venues across North America.

Chicago-based artist Sherm has never stopped his relentless pursuit to create and influence since his start in 2014. His artistry and passion has given him global recognition for his accomplishments in the music industry as a DJ, Producer, A&R and Podcast Host. 

Sherm's undeniable ability to entertain is what sets him apart. He has a 360 degree skillset including performing in front of thousands at festivals, producing memorable dance music, hosting live podcasts, signing chart-topping tracks, and moderating engaging panels. 

As a DJ, Sherm has performed in major markets including San Francisco, Denver, San Diego, NYC, and Miami. Sherm has supported artists like Armin Van Buuren, Galantis, John Summit, Matroda, ACRAZE, Lost Kings, Gorgon City, Cash Cash, Shiba San, Bijou, and Walker and Royce. He has also performed at festivals including North Coast, Volleywood, Home Bass, and Amsterdam Dance Event. 

Sherm also acts as A&R for Hood Politics Records, where he has had massive influence on the label’s identity and future trajectory. The San Diego-based record label founded by DJ Susan has signed artists such as John Summit, Franky Wah, Chapter & Verse, Max Styler, Wenzday, Cloverdale, Return of the Jaded, and Jake Shore. 

With 200+ episodes released to date, his podcast Sherm In The Booth has featured global touring acts including CID, Westend, Autograf, Honeyluv, Roland Clark, Parker Cohen, LA Riots, Masteria and many more. 

With Sherm's influence growing in so many aspects of the music industry, it's clear that he is just getting started.

Having been heavily influenced by dance music and the 1990’s revolutionary rave scene, Chiang Mai (Thailand) based DJ/producer Hattronix (Scott Hattrell) has been mixing on the ‘one’s and two’s’ for over 25 years, appearing at multiple underground events and clubs around the World.

Taking inspiration from a diverse range of acts such as Tango & Ratty, Zinc, Seduction, Altern8, Prodigy, and many more, his knowledge of Rave culture reflects in his DJ sets, where he incorporates Jungle, D&B, Old Skool Rave, Hardcore, House, Breaks, Electro, Acid, Techno and even Gabber to get the dance floor rocking! 

After taking time out to travel the world, he completed a Digital Music degree at Southampton Solent University, while concentrating on his DJing and production.
