After a standout collaboration with Huxley last year, essential UK artist Hauswerks is back with two more of his tasteful club weapons. Hauswerks has been at the sharp end of house and electro for more than a decade now. Appearing on the days finest labels from Hot Creations to material, he has also worked with the hottest talents around from Doorly to Josh Butler. On his own, though, you hear the artist’s very singular take on moving grooves, and that’s exactly the case with both of the brilliantly sci-fi tinged tracks here. 

The excellent ‘After Dark’ opens things with steel plated drums and a spooky sense of atmosphere. It’s a high tempo house cut that really gets you into a trance as spacey synths, colourful drums and rugged bass underpins the whole thing. The arrival of some pixelated chords and celestial keys really finish of this cosmic journey in style. 

On the flip, ‘Hidden’ is a little funkier, with loopy stabs and rolling drums getting you up on your toes. Vocal sounds are off in the distance and more well-crafted synth work brings plenty of colour and scale to the track so that it really will sweep up the club and take it to the next level.

Hauswerks never misses, and these latest two tracks are another fine example of that

Mid-July will see two duos combine as Danish talents Anëk partner with Romanian pairing GruuvElement’s to deliver ‘Zommer’ on Hector Couto’s Roush Label. Originating in Copenhagen, Demnark, but now found between the UK and France, Denise & Karina aka Anëk have enjoyed a sharp curve over the past few years. Having emerged and established themselves whilst representing Steve Lawler’s VIVa imprint, with regular appearances across his ‘Warriors’ parties, the duo have since gone on to release material on the likes of Moon Harbour, Oblack and Gruuv whilst turning in stand out remixes on Solid Groove and Lost Records to name just a few. Add to the mix Bacau based duo GruuvElement’s, whose recent output includes original’s and remixes on NOPRESET, Stereo Productions and Paul’s Boutique, and it’s easy to see why their ‘Zommer’ EP is a highly anticipated release for many this July. ‘Zommer’ opens proceedings in stripped back fashion as Anëk and GruuvElements carefully balance resonant vocal interjections amongst refined toms and warping background atmospherics to create a hypnotic title cut. Next up, ‘Just Drums’ engages rich chords, dubbed out vox’s and rolling drum loops to reveal a smooth laid back production perfect for both the dance floor and the afters, before ‘Alright’ introduces booming kicks, acid tinged bass lines and crisp claps throughout to round out the EP.

Leader of the Serbian nu school Jovan Vucetic continues make his mark on the Tech scene unleashing his new 'Feelz EP’ for the acclaimed Griffintown Records.

The EP title track "Feelz" is potent and busy with its Eery synth lines and ethereal vocals plagued by menacing stabs and driving beats.

"Feelz" EP will be released on July 23rd 2018 on Griffintown Records.
