Mc Skibadee is without doubt the best Mcee Drum & Bass/Jungle has ever produced since its start. From his early beginnings, Skibadee landed a slot on Kool Fm 94.5 Fm (1995) alongside Dj Wildchild. His talent from day one started getting him booked on all the hottest promotions at that time (One Nation, Hysteria, Telepathy, Pure X, Roast). During his journey Skibadee was the most imitated & influential MC to ever touch the mic within the whole of this dance music scene. His slogan “Deal with the matter” was iconic to the up and coming youth whom also wanted to mc. Achieving multiple awards along the way with his lyrical abilities & the building of lifetime bonds with a few of his peers (mainly Det, Shabba D & Funsta). Which become legendary fusions within the world of Drum & Bass. Besides working with Mc’s he done regular sets with the likes of Andy C, Brockie, Profile, Dj Trend, Marley Marl, Funky Flirt, Ruffstuff & Phantasy. A recording of DJ Wild Child & MC Skibbadee 16th Sept 1996 on Kool FM.

Amazing selection from DJ Wildchild along with Skibba’s Iconic MC style. Unfortunately we lost Skibba recently and this early recording is a great example of why he went on to have an incredible career as an MC and influence many that came after.

It’s also worth pointing out that at the time Wild Child was the only female DJ on Kool FM and in general Pirate Radio was indeed mainly men. It is what it is and it’s important to understand this and to see how different and more diverse things are today.
