It’s packed full of breaker’s and lo-fi vibes, switching from break house to garage, breakbeat over to jungle and dnb.
But no genre boundaries are set in this mix, as it fluctuates in between a lot of different styles.

Bunny Tsukino is a rising DJ based in Leipzig and is part of the none.such collective and cofounder of the new event series “HOTSHOT” at Institut für Zukunft.
Besides numerous gigs, she curates the Leipzig Wednesday classic “Halftime” at Conne Island.

Bunny Tsukino about the mix: 

This mix has been on my to-do list for a long time. 1 hour and 40 minutes of only loving music. Tracks that are very epic, that make you confident, that are thoughtful or that make you smile. Every transition well thought out so that no disturbing factor destroys the feeling. At the end of a two year pandemic and so many hopeless moments and in the middle of a disgusting war in a country where music nerds would rather djing or producing club bangers in peace than having to pick up a gun. I hope that with this mix I can make sad people a little bit less sad and increase everyone's joy for the summer with it anyway! 6 tracks are from the new compilation by Emotional Voyage Records. I don't need to say much more about the label, I think the two co-founders are trying to convey exactly the feeling I described above with this project. <3

Mixed Feelings 005 - Bunny Tsukino

Hailing from Minsk, Belarus, @Viikatory is a DJ and Producer generally specialized in fast-paced Electro but she has surprised us with some magical Goa Trance demos. So does the mix she has prepared for us.
Active as Producer and DJ since 2019 Viikatory has absorbed production techniques at a fierce pace, classical training from a young age adds a harmonic side to her gritty and high-momentum tracks. Her tracks have featured on compilations from labels such as Warning, Lap Records and Crazed Behaviors. Also, not so long ago, her solo tape release “Maiden Voyage” and high speed collaboration with Jensen Interceptor “I Just Want 2 Dance” was out on International Chrome. Future vinyl releases include Mutual Pleasure, Juice Gang records and surprise surprise Mana Abundance.

Super excited to welcome the lovely  Isora to our mix series for #097.

Italian born & now London based, Isora cut her teeth mixing in Glasgow, Scotland - doing electro, booty, jungle and hardcore between Glasgow and Edinburgh dance floors. After only one year DJing, ISORA became a resident at London-based, Booty + Hardcore, record label and party starters - Hyperdome Records; as well as with: EPiKA, an all-female DJ collective based in Edinburgh. Including a bi-monthly residency at Glasgow-based Radio Buena Vida.

Since then she's continued to smash it, we can say you are in for a treat as she has ultra technical skills and an impeccable selection. A set from Isora always promises to be a belter of a sonic journey, carefully selecting tracks that will keep you going from start to end.


All good sets need to have great pacing, when to build tension, when to let it bang and when to let the music just groove along and also when to make it vibey as fuck. Having recently had her London debut with Das Booty; she's raring to get back into the booth to show y'all what she's got!

B. Calloway - Interview & DJ Mix

For the fifth show of the year The Anxious Beat had the great pleasure of talking (face 2 face) to a real Detroit gem - electrofunk pro, DJ and ninja producer B. Calloway.  We start off with one of Calloway’s  latest releases on wax -  acid ghetto and fu**-everything-anthem Party N Bullshit (Dirty Mix, Various  - Elevated Jit Vol. 2 EP/FTP), also heard in Jensen Interceptor’s dope ass set at last years Boiler Room x Glitch Festival. Calloway begins his story by expressing his love for all different styles of music - the Jeopardy theme song and just about everything else, as long as it sounds good. We get to learn more about his beginnings - starting out messing around with a couple of tape decks and a record player in his moms basement in his early teens, discovering jit and how he met Ade' Mango Henderson Mainor (Mr. De’ of Electrofunk Records) at his favorite record store, who later came to take him under his wing. Our conversation also touches on the meaning behind the freaky-bass and multi-transitional track Workout and Stack Paper from Calloway’s 3000 B.C. EP, record store vendettas, tap dancing grace of Fred Astaire  and Sammy Davis Jr. and the philosophy behind “not looking up to, nor down on nobody” and much much more. Calloway then treats us to an hour+ dance mix of reckless mayhem, so take a moment, let loose, enjoy and just “dance like ain’t nobody lookin’…”

With several releases on imprints like Lunar Orbiter Programm, International Chrome or Voitax by himself or in collaboration with Turk Turkelton in the past years, Cyan85 shouldn't be big news to you. Rough drums and breaks with scratching acid and synth lines can be expected through out his releases and his DJ Sets. The perfect sound to fill a dance floor (or our studio) with an energetic, head shaking vibe. It was a pleasure having him at the studio.
