The Name ROBMOB came To My mind while serving a 7 year prison sentence. My Original Idea For The ROBMOB was to create a 4 piece Rap group Of Young Local Gisborne Rappers. I wanted to create a New Zealand Rap Crew with a much different Image and sound Than Our NZ rap stars we see on television. The plan was to go for that Cash money Records ( Hot Boyz ) Image, Gold teeth heaps of bling and tattoo covered bodies.. But when I was finally released from Prison, I Bumped into an old Enemy Of mine ( Truth ) ( Ex Crip ).. He had explained to Me that While I was in Prison For all Them years, He had made dramatic life changes and had another vision.. We sat down and talked and together, We Both agreed To Form A 2 Man Rap Duo, And because Of Very Simular Backgrounds and Life experiences, We Took on The Name ROBMOB.
