Originally released on cassette- and sold out in a few hours. This mix is all gospel- mostly rural LPs (and a few 45s) that have no online presence whatsoever.  It is mostly stuff ive acquired on my travels around the world djing.  Special music for dark times. (free download)

Mike Simonetti - At The Juncture Of Dark And Light  Vol. 10

The story of a chance meeting in 2008 between Andrew Weatherall, the world-renowned DJ, producer and remixer, and Gerard Sheehy, a Co. Cork fisherman. How this meeting inspired Weatherall to use the phrase “Fail We May, Sail We Must” as a personal mantra and how the phrase, in turn, has become an inspiration for thousands of others. It details how in 2021, on the first anniversary of Weatherall’s death, Sheehy was identified as the source of the phrase and tells how the two disparate worlds of the music and fishing industries collided.

Fail We May, Sail We Must - A Tribute to Andrew Weatherall

Helfetica explores dance and electronic music from around the globe in her monthly Worldwide FM show.

In the February edition, Helfetica is joined by joyful multi-instrumentalist, producer, DJ, and label head Poté. As Poté gets ready to release a new single on his Versicolor label this March, and bring his live show on tour with Bonobo, they have a chat before Poté delivers an uplifting, drum-fuelled guest mix.

Tom Middleton & Mark Pritchard (AKA Global Communication, Reload, Chameleon, Secret Ingredients, Link & E621) had a short run from 95-99 as the Jedi Knights releasing nu-electro, funk, house, techno, and drum-n-bass until a remix for Depeche Mode put them on George Lucas' radar resulting in a cease and desist on using the name. This is a collection of their complete catalog compiling everything from the classic "May the Funk Be With You" on Clear Records, to their remixes of Underworld, Model 500, Bomb the Bass, Leftfield and the above mentioned Depeche Mode, to their final unreleased "Return of the Jedis" EP.

Solid Steel (5th August) This week it's Rival Consoles and Ben Lukas Boysen for an Erased Tapes takeover, the London based label set up by Robert Raths in 2007 that also includes Nils Frahm, Kiasmos, Peter Broderick and Dawn of Midi in their roster. First up in Hour 1, it's London-based electronic songwriter Ryan Lee West aka Rival Consoles celebrating the release his most personal work to date in the form of a mini-album titled ‘Night Melody’ which is out on 5th August. He told us;
"The mix is a collection of sonic palettes which inspire me to make music. From Todd Terje's playful, colourful remix, to The Cyclist's Lodi distorted broken synth grooves, Cortinis epic moving ambient masterpiece 'scapula', Gold Panda's childlike beauty: all of these tracks contain things that excite me. So rather than this being a very consistent strict tempo mix it is a collection of varying ideas and approaches to electronics."
