A light before my eyes, a sound in my ears
sensations coming back, with a hint of fear
A mirror next to me, I try to take a peek
try to set the focus, try to make it clear

but I'm met with a mess, a blur, a haze
blinded by emotions, can't make out my face
I fumble in the dark, distraught and dazed
I'm a stranger to this world and my home is space

So of course I feel weird when I get to witness
beauty and perfection in this land of weakness
my own demons tremble like they can't deal with this 
What is this sweetness? I've been rendered speechless

Despite the darkness, there's an angel here
I struggled with this but I'll make it perfect
I'll defy the odds and shape my own mind
I'll destroy the evil and make my soul shine...
