'Extinct Dream Series 002 encapsulates that atmospheric, otherworldly universe, where synths just fly around in a reverb-drenched landscape. 

The sublime new mini album kicks off with the 'Truth Lies Ahead’ where the music kicks off, almost cinematic in feel building in a quiet yet imaginative state. ‘Santore’ builds with a more tribal feel to it incorporating lush uplifting atmospherics and subtle keys. ‘La Luna Ma Mira' has exotic overtones and eastern orient melody flashes, whilst  'Baile De Lobos’ glows with its excellent vibe, hypnotic groove and very warm, rich tones. 'Voices from Within’ goes proper deep melodic tech. Finally, closing out the mini LP is ‘Intrepid' with beautiful countermelodies, a great journey, a great record. 

Brian Cid cut his teeth engineering for a galaxy of music superstars including Wiz Khalifa, MOS DEF & Snoop Dog and you can add Lady GaGa, Bruno Mars and Rihanna to that mix too. Mentored in-house by nonother than Todd Terry. Brian’s status has steadily grown with support from peers including Richie Hawtin, Pete Tong, Sasha, Danny Tenaglia, Claude Von stroke and Mark Knight. His productions and DJ-ing have left an indelible impression on the dance floor constantly taking him around the US and the world.

Brian Cid ‘Extreme Dreams Series 002’ is released on Extinct on 15th December 2016.

The enigmatic Solstice brings us his “Yelrih One” EP, a four­tracker comprised of the eponymous namesake and three interpretations by a handful of keen peers. The original ‘Fall’ is the French producer at his deepest and most characteristic: a slow burner that’s pure atmosphere and haunting vocals courtesy of Lea Luxanima. Juan then swoops in to turn up the echo, giving us an even more cinematic version before Anton Dhouran strips things back to focus on Lea’s voice and accompanying keys. This one begs for a sunrise session near a body of water, though it’s Ivory Mantra’s final remix that has all the trappings of a dance floor igniter.
