ヒップホップDJの兄から影響を受け、95年より地元愛知にてDJ活動開始。それ以降、名古屋、静岡、東京、大阪など日本各地でDJを行う。自分自身にインプットされた膨大なアーティスト、レーベル、トラックネームデータベースからはじき出される、新旧を問わない厳選された音源の数々。それらをベースにして限りなく繊細かつ精緻に、さらにダンスへの躍動感を一切損なうことなく構築されていくDJセットは、ときに「グルーヴマスター」と評されるほど。
2005年に結成した「the suffragettes」（2008年解散）名義では過去にMilnor Modern Records、Rrygular、Unfoundsound、 Goosehoundなどからリリースを重ねている。またイタリアMussen Project Recordsからはyone-ko名義でソロ作品を展開中。
現在は、代官山SALOONにて、DJ Yoshiki(op.disc)とともにレギュラーパーティー「Runch」を、UNITにてso inagawa、sackrai/keisuke 、kondo、masdaとともに「cabaret」を不定期開催中。

─このミックスのコンセプトなどを教えてください。

このセットは、1990年代～2000年代のハウス、テクノのレコードを掘り進めるうちに発掘した、「自分のグルーヴにリンクしながらも、クラブプレイからはどうしてもこぼれ落ちていく」音源を集めたセット。そんなセットを「yone-ko Dream Sequence Set」という名義で不定期に披露しているのですが、今回のPodcast音源はその最新セットです。
このセットもクラブでのDJセットも、ここ数年コンセプトは変わっていません。聴いてくれる方に「よい旅を」。
 
─ミックスの録音環境を教えてください。
 
クラベリアのPodcastに参加させてもらうということで、お世話になっているクラブ、代官山・UNITをお借りして、一発録りさせていただきました。


―近況と最近の活動について教えてください

自身のパーティ「CABARET」「Runch」は、今年も前のめりで継続予定。楽曲もリリース準備している物がいくつか。あとベルリンマラソンに出場しようか画策中です。


―今後の活動予定を教えてください。

昨年は名古屋、静岡、大阪、札幌などなどいろんな場所でDJさせていただきました。今年もLP盤かついで、いろんな場所に行けたらうれしいなと思います。
