With this new EP, it's the Netherlands that are in the spotlight this month at Metrohm and for the occasion we receive one of their best representative Dimitri Kneppers AKA Dimitri from Amsterdam and his studio mate Clarence Brandon. 🔹Mary J. Oliver
is a poet and novelist who most kindly assisted us at CKCU-FM93.1 | Literary News with the production of this broadcast as a guest editor. Without her profound personal knowledge of the specifically Cornish sphere of literary activities in her country, we could not have produced the show. We’re very thankful to her for all that she has done for us as well as for her fellow poets.-
Professionally trained in the visual arts, Mary J. Oliver took up writing full time ten years ago. Since then her poems have appeared in many periodicals and anthologies in the UK and US. Competitions won include those judged by the Irish poet Paul Muldoon, who won a Pulitzer Prize for Poetry and the T.S. Eliot Prize, and by the famous poet, novelist and wild-life protection activist Ruth Sophia Padel. Mary J. Oliver’s first book, Jim Neat: The Case of a Young Man Down on His Luck, was published by Seren Books in 2019. In 2017, the original manuscript of Jim Neat was awarded 2nd prize in the New Welsh Writing Memoir Award. Five of the poems from it have been set to music for piano by the composer Judith Bailey. Mary J. Oliver edits ‘Piccolina,’ a poetry newsletter promoting live-poetry events in Cornwall, UK. The first is called ‘Can Jack’ and the second is called ‘Pencarrow’. Can Jack is by Cornish author and playwright Robert Morton Nance. Pencarrow is traditional, possibly dating from the 17th century.

My entry to the Spinnin' records remix competition of Broke by Wave Wave.

My version of this track pays dues to the original's quite rock-based vibe, with verse vs. chorus, with an extra grungy feel in the final build up. This version is more suited to cranking up in the car than the club floor given the lack of beat during the verses, but definitely gets the body moving during the chorus. Great track to work with.

Patrick Neuntausend is a DJ from Frankfurt/Main, Germany, producer and nightlife pioneer. 30 years of djing, from HipHop, House, Electro (oldschool), Breakbeat to 60s Funk&Soul, Jazz and film soundtracks shaped the musical ear of this artist. At the same time Patrick Neuntausend, who lives in a world of electronics and information technology, produces ambient music titles, but also house and electro - exclusively on partly obscure analogue equipment. Everything lasts as long as it takes - including his life motto - and sometimes he has to switch off the sequencer because otherwise the drinks get warm in the local pub.
The track 'Everytime' was created in a relaxed collaboration with the Frankfurt jazz singer Nashi Young Cho (NYC Jazz Quartett - no longer an insider tip in the relevant scene), Nashi Young Cho and Patrick Neuntausend have been friends for many years.

Han Beukers is a Dutch DJ and trance producer from Rotterdam. His passion for electronic music began at an early age, influenced by legendary radio DJ Ben Liebrand. Beukers' sound primarily centers around uplifting and progressive trance, with releases on labels such as A State of Trance (Armada Music), Raz Nitzan Music, AVA Deep and Deeper Harmonies(FYH), Pattern. 

Over the years, Han has performed at notable trance events such as Ferry Corsten & Friends, Grotesque, and several events on Ibiza. He has a growing discography, with popular tracks like “Portitxol Sunset,” “Embrace,” and “Flauwekul is Flauwekul,” the latter being a tribute to his late father. Han continues to release progressive house and trance music, collaborating with other artists like AxelPolo.
