Sascha Lahti, yes, an unusual name, born and raised into an unusual family of self-proclaimed Bohemians living in West LA.

He grew up greatly influenced by his father’s unlimited creative ingenuity and his mother’s witty practicality, both with a passion for music and dancing.

Sascha started playing violin at age 5, later as a teen, switched to guitar and bass, and continued with bass for 25 years, playing in a variety of garage bands.

Sascha got turned onto electronic music in 1993 and quickly graduated from Deadhead to Moontriber.

Falling in love with underground electronic music and culture, he became inspired to get certified as a recording engineer and has worked on several music productions.

Recently, due to a sudden partial hearing loss, he had to abandon his live music pursuits, turning to DJ’ing as a new outlet for his creative musical expression.

Sascha’s dream is simple: to share his love for funky and deep/tech house beats with people he knows and people he’d like to know.

He believes the world needs more compassion and is committed to channel consciousness through his diverse music selections and unique mixes.

From the fashion runways to the dance floor, this DJ has taken his soulful roots, energetic presence and love for music to bring you his unique sounds. Merritt Robinson, Djrev-merritt, has a way to get people moving on or off the dance floor.

At a young age, Merritt was inspired by the passion that his mother had for music. The soulfulness of Barry White, Ted Pendergrass, the Ojays, and Sly & the Family Stone permeated throughout the house. He soon found the sounds of Luis Fernando Vega, known as “Little” Louie Vega and 
Kenny “Dope” Gonzalez, Masters at Work, Afrika Bambaataa, and Dj Muggs. 
This is when he knew he had to share great sounds with the public upon his journey of unassuming, pure love, and energy through music.

Djrev-merritt learned the art of “DJing” in early 2000 by Antonio Aguilera of Global BPM. This solidified his passion to get behind the decks and rock any house. Working with Antonio allowed him to become a professional DJ in 2003; playing in underground hip hop clubs, beach bars, and sophisticated clubs to the world famous Comic Con International Independent Film Festival. 

Djrev-merritt started his residency at Henry’s Pub, San Diego, in 2003 and Jack’s, La Jolla, in 2004. Djrev-merritt had the pleasure of producing music for many runway Fashion shows from 1999-2002. 
He has also enjoyed spinning an open format for many house parties from the intimate “Sweet Sixteen” to your packed house raggers! Invite Djrev-merritt into your club to experience his distinct sounds as he brings the crowd to life.
