Für viele ist es nur eine schwarze Scheibe – für mich pure Magie. Vinyl ist mehr als nur ein Tonträger, es ist ein Lebensgefühl, ein Ritual, eine Kunstform. Wer mit Platten auflegt, taucht ein in eine Welt voller Klang, Geschichte und Haptik, die kein digitaler Controller je ersetzen kann.

Jede Platte erzählt eine eigene Geschichte: vom Knacken der Nadel in der Einlaufrille bis zum letzten Ausklang am Ende der Seite. Der DJ, der Vinyl spielt, ist kein blosser Musikabspieler – er ist ein Kurator, ein Suchender, ein Sammler. Stundenlanges Graben in staubigen Plattenkisten, das Kribbeln beim Fund einer lang gesuchten Scheibe, das Abwägen jedes Tracks im Set – es ist Hingabe.

Vinyl verlangt Respekt. Man muss es pflegen, transportieren, richtig lagern. Das Auflegen wird dadurch zu einem bewussteren Akt. Es zwingt zur Auseinandersetzung mit Musik, zu Entscheidungen mit Gewicht. Kein schnelles Skippen, kein „Sync“-Button – jede Mischung, jeder Übergang wird mit Gefühl, Können und Timing gemacht. Und gerade das macht es so wertvoll: Es ist echt. Analog. Unverfälscht.

Nicht umsonst wir es „schwarzes Gold“ genannt– denn wie Gold ist es selten, kostbar, zeitlos. Viele Pressungen gibt es nur in kleinen Auflagen, manche Tracks existieren ausschließlich auf Vinyl. Jede Scheibe ist ein Artefakt, ein Stück Musikgeschichte in den Händen. 

Für mich ist das Plattendrehen mehr als nur Performance – es ist eine Liebeserklärung an die Musik, an ihre Wurzeln und an die Kunst des Auflegens selbst. Und genau deshalb bleibt das schwarze Gold unvergänglich – in den Herzen, in den Sets, und auf den Tellern derer, die Musik wirklich fühlen.
