After a long pause, headkit releases the ambient album "unconditional automata (muzak for emergent machines)", which is the result of experiments with generative deep neural networks.

The AI model became a synthesizer, a sampler, a sound source, but also a source of ideas and inspiration. The model, trained to describe text, was stimulated with empty input to freely interpret the void, to dream and hallucinate.

The generated sounds were then processed by a second neural network, which searched for patterns in these sounds and separated them according to categories such as rhythm, bass, guitar, vocals - even if these are not present in the sound material. The model interprets the input sound, transforms it, reshapes it.

The sounds invented in this way were curated, arranged, equalized and produced as audio tracks in the classic way using effect chains. In some places, the arrangement was glazed with synthetic sounds from digital replicas of historical synthesizers.

A sound cosmos opens up, which makes the presented acoustic event available as a surface for the projection of the listener's directly triggered sensation.

A creative experiment in the artistic space of what is technically feasible, mined from the musical knowledge of generations of the most diverse origins.

headkit ist auf der Suche nach minimalen Strukturen in elektronischer Tanzmusik. Ob als Initiator der Klangduell-Reihe (Brothers in Music) oder als Produzent für DJs wie Ellen Allien (Remixe für Beck, Troy Pierce, Thom Yorke) oder Künstler wie Damero (BPitchCntrl) steht für ihn vor allem das klare Erlebnis der durch die Folge unterschiedlicher Notenwerte entstehenden Akzentmuster über einer Grundzählweite im Vordergrund: der Rhythmus! Diese gewissentlich gesetzten Akzentmuster können auf Dauer die Zustände in der Nähe befindlicher Organismen erheblich beinträchtigen und nehmen Einfluß auf den Biologischen Rhythmus der Anwesenden: Arme hoch und tanzen!
