Ukrainian powerhouse The Organism takes ‘Night Rider’ and gives it an entirely new broken rhythm, with the original parts given a new lease of life as a result of the bouncing flow he whips up. Modular Project transform ‘Street Dancer’ into a brooding, slow-burning masterpiece, swapping the electro rhythm for a solid 4/4 beat and lacing the track with a little muted, distorted acid gurgle.

Dischi Edits: Modular Project

French electronic duo Kimshies, composed of Peo Watson and Mika Frojman marks their inaugural release on Roam Recordings with their latest EP, "End of Love". 'Mulya', whose track "Orinoko" flows naturally through arpeggiated synth-veins like the Venezuelian river it was named after. The track depicts a harmony, or the path between Earth and a far away galaxy by combining earthly elements with futuristic soundscapes that ride the heavy bassline wave.

Alex Dimou makes a welcome debut on Crosstown Rebels with What Keeps You There with two great remixes from Cevin Fisher and Avidus.

The EP begins with the enchanting nature of What Keeps You There. A prominent piano roll opens proceedings, with Vili’s moving vocals soon introduced over a chugging bassline. Cevin Fisher’s remix of the title track comes next. A more driving minimal house take on the lead record, subtle kicks converge on rustling percussion, before Vili’s emotive vocals once again form a poignantly heartfelt production. Avidus provide a dance floor-ready rework of the original, that features a mechanical sounding synth and an echoing, electric breakdown, before the EP is rounded off with Let It Be Known, a four-to-the-floor, pumping house cut made up of strong kicks and driving pads.

Alex Dimou is a producer, DJ and remixer whose career has seen him perform all around the global circuit. As a remixer, he has collaborated with the likes of Maya Jane Coles and M.A.N.D.Y, whilst his own releases have found a home on Jamie Jones’ Hottrax as well as renowned Berlin imprint Get Physical Music. Legendary American producer Cevin Fisher has been releasing standout records since 1995, achieving five entries in the UK singles chart between 1998 and 2001. German duo Avidus are regulars on Crosstown Rebels, and continue to run their own imprint Empore Music, which was launched in 2015.

Eclecticism is the keyword when it comes to the musical taste of LUZ1E. Mostly known for her spirited and soulful New York House she has made herself a name in the realms of fast-paced breaks and Techno. Either way, LUZ1E brings together everything that has that certain punchy power to it.

Having jumped onto the scene in 2017 with her vinyl debut on Lobster Theremin's import label UGONGETIT, LUZ1E appears to have taken a bit of hiatus last year - only releasing the tune "Sonic Measurements" as part of a compilation on German label Ghetto Traxx.

Luckily for us, 2020 marks the return of the maestro. LUZ1E joins the Shall Not Fade family with the punchy "Ridin" EP. ‘We have the pleasure of debuting the title track from the release, which blends soulful House sounds with fast Breaks and Techno to create a unique punchy hybrid sound of futuristic dance music.

Meet O.N.O: the new Parisian electronic duo.
Comprised of French comedian and DJ, Nathalie Duchene, and her friend Rudy Kobain, O.N.O is a project formed through their connection on the Paris electronic scene. They decided to try their hand at collaborating, and ‘Modern Dance’ is the first fruits of their burgeoning relationship.
“ I produce a lot everyday but I hardly ever finish my tracks ” says Kobain. “ I sent Nathalie my favourite one and she had wonderful ideas on how to continue this one and finish it. ” They completed the track at his home, and once he showed her more of his works-in-progress, she had plenty more ideas on how to carry them to the finish line. “ The same magic happened: she knew what to add to make it a hit.” It was clear that a formidable partnership was being created.
‘Modern Dance’ is a funk-fuelled house/disco cut filled with bold sounds. Slinky, plump bass grooves against the taut drums while pitch-bending synths create a dramatic backdrop. A shimmering, plucked lead motif cuts through the mix with no warning to create a mystical and captivating melodic focal point. Recordings of gossiping ladies fill the breakdown, adding more drama still, and swooping strings provide the finishing touch. Fierce, funky and full of attitude, it’s a surefire hit. “ It’s a perfect track to show our world. We wanted to create a track you can dance, eat, drink and make love to. ”
French dance music royalty and personal friend of the duo, Yuksek, amps up the bass funk on his remix, slides in some gentle acid tones and generally pumps the whole thing up. There’s an almost old skool rave euphoria in the widescreen sounds of his pads and strings and some clever edits and FX provide moments of unexpected juxtaposition. “ Nathalie has known him for years and he was immediately super excited to remix the track. He totally brings the tracks to the dancefloor!”
‘Rockarz’ is a mighty ‘b-side’ that channels ‘80s electro pop to great effect, with chanted male vocals set against airy female harmonies and rubbery bass melody underneath. Glass chimes and resampled synths provide the additional colour, and all in all it’s a camp dancefloor workout.
With their tracks mixed by Super Discount’s Julien Delfaut, their glorious tracks are finished off in a punchy technicolour sheen. “ I have known him for a long time and he is one of the best mixers in Paris. Thanks to him we have a special sound that you can find all over our upcoming EPs.”

There's certainly plenty of sleaze you can read into this one. Ilya Santana takes blueprints of electronic music created in the 1980s and ups the ante, delivering four tracks that are destined to do well on deeper and more chug-focused global dancefloors. The kind of stuff that's deceptively heavy while also musically far-reaching, crank the volume up and stomping will come naturally. Very much in the realm of the late, great Andrew Weatherall, and therefore also one for fans of heads such as Manfredas, Optimo and the like, at the most solid, proggy end you've got 'The Deep Disco', destined to make more than a few people sweat, while 'Moon Road' sits on the lighter side comparatively, its tom drums and waves of synth underpinned by a deceptively solid kick.

Relish Compilation VII features tracks and remixes by AHEADACHEADAY, ELIEZER w/ Zillas on Acid and Dangur, M Love, Headman, Mufti feat. Vongold, Franz & Shape and Modular Project.

The Compilation starts off with Alberto de Angeli aka AHEADACHEADAY. A dark slow motion synth laden track with Burundi beat undertones. 
Tel Aviv’s Eliezer collaborated w/ Zillas on Acid on Anna Bella. The vocals are by Isadora. The song is trippy, hypnotic and percussive.
M Love’s Price is his 3rd release on Relish. New World was featured on REPIX. New Wave and Krautrock infused techno for the momentarily absent dancefloors.This time a bit harder and less melodic. Devoleb is a new Headman track. The original idea was to rework an old track, but while working on it something new came out. The track is an example of Post Punk Disco, 808 drummachines and Basslines that reminds one of Motorik retro futurist funk. Crimson is by Eliezer and Dangur with again vocals from Isadora. This version is a bit more uptempo, again with a tribal nearly ethnic feel with guitars and percussion that slide in and out dubbing everything. Mufti feat Vongold contributed already on REPXI. False Guru has a similar  Mexican underground vibe, dark arpeggio synths, driving drums and  mystic vocals by Vongold.
Headman’s Be Loved original version was released in 2011. First remixed by Daniel Avery on the homonymous single. Modular Project remixed the version again and turned it into a high energy dark Giorgio Moroder-esque interpretation keeping loads of sounds and the poppy vocals from the original. Franz & Shape who have been part of Relish since the early days contributed N.u.m.b.. The vocals are by Matt Southall from the UK band Officers. The remix is by Croatian electronica producer Petar Dundov. He added vocoders and gave a nice retro-italo feel to the original version. Robi Insinna is a Producer, DJ, Visual Artist and INDUSTRIA and RELISH owner.

Back in 2001 he founded the seminal Relish label in direct response to a then-dominant sound in club music. Its catalogue is as vast as it is varied and foreshadowing the music he'd go on to make himself under Headman/Manhead. Some highlights are IT ROUGH, Birth School Work Death, in the early years for the newer period tracks such as Be Loved, Dechainee. He also was busy remixing the likes of Roxy Music, The Gossip, Franz Ferdinand, The Units, Unknown Cases, Gina X and many more.
Relish has also been busy releasing international talents and remixes such as Daniel Avery, Red Axes, Borusiade, Manfredas.


Fast forward to 2018 he's on the move again launching new Project label, Industria with - not quite an album, not quite an EP - Hard Work. The debut was released under Robi's own name.
Industria will be focused more on vinyl releases, but not solely vinyl. The project will encompass all areas of Robi's work and ties together elements of his art and visual design projects and products.
