JackWasFaster makes his debut for Factor City with four excellent dancefloor cuts that bridge the currents of slow-mo techno and cosmic disco, a perfect blend of darkness and light. The EP is completed with a dope remix by Younger Than Me.

Manu Cachero, a.k.a. JackWasFaster, is one of Madrid’s brighest talents. With previous releases in Rotten City, Nein or Esthetique, it was a matter of time before we saw his music landing in Factor City. JackWasFaster’s work has earned him a wealth of support from some of the scene names such as Andrew Weatherall, Sean Johnston, Massimiliano Pagliara, or Curses, to name a few.  

Opening the EP, we find “Busybody killer” a slow heater where we can hear his EBM and post-punk influences creating a dark futuristic landscape. Tomorrow’s harvest. 
Or not, because there’s a lot of light on the EP as well. “Luddites Fan Page” is a disco-infected tune full of bright synths and instant melodies. Manu’s voice on the background gives the track a Balearic touch. We find the same sound coordinates, feel-good vibes and sense of humor on “They don’t make commercials as they used to.” Here arpeggiated synths lead this playful song, perfect for summer dancefloors as things are winding down or up.
The last original track is “Perro viejo”. And darkness is back again. There’s something to fear in this 12’ apocalyptic jam built around pulsating beats, an industrial atmosphere, and acid synths.  
We asked rising Italian duo Younger Than Me to remix one of the tracks from the EP and they chose “Perro viejo”. They’ve condensed and tensed the original by adding synth stabs and vocal chops. Rave on!

Live At Robert Johnson deploys a very true to its school release by one of Brussels finest, @DC Salas. „The Complicated Art of Dreaming“ tells a four-track tale of joyous and airy nights on the dancefloor. A few euphoric sixteenths and a few quirky acid lines, lush pads and irresistible drums—it’s all about giving you that driving and energetic feeling, with more than one genuine hands in the air floorfiller at your disposal.

Things are what you expect of LARJ: Driving high quality tracks with an emotional twist, a nod to the luscious moments on the wooden dancefloor.

DC Salas is thirtysomething year old Diego Cortez Salas, a skilled talent with peruvian origins hailing from Brussels. His four-track EP „The Complicated Art of Dreaming“ delves into classic territories, an eclectic amalgamation of his musical inspirations in 15 years of digging and DJing. A regular DJ at C11 and Kiosk Radio both in Brussels, Diego also co-runs Biologic Records with his mate Abstraxion since 2014.

Supported by acclaimed artists such as Jennifer Cardini, Curses, Pete Herbert, Gene Farris, Jerry Bouthier, Severino Panzetta, and Mano Le Tough, just to name a few, the next release of the Barcelona-based label Paradise Children features the respected and innovative Russian duo Radial Gaze. Having already released on vital labels – Eskimo, Calypso, Hold Your Ground, Esthétique, Nein, Hard Fist, and Belly Dance Services –, the partnership between Andrey & Stas delivers this time a six-track EP, consisting in two originals and enlisting a slew of talents for remix duties: Toulouse Low Trax, La Mverte, Tim Paris, and Hanzo & Yaman (SXDNS065).

Despite the immense quality of the remixes, we opted for premiering one of the originals: “Fugu Taste” properly showcases the signature sonority of the St Petersburg brothers. The theme, devoted to making you lose yourself to dance – despite the darkness of the times –, does not fail to bring you that everything-is-going-to-be-alright feeling that only music can provide. Even with its ominous atmosphere, the vibrant orient-influenced synth layer of the track supplies an upbeat and cheerful mood. Another mission accomplished by the comrades.

Robi Insinna is a Producer, DJ, Visual Artist and INDUSTRIA and RELISH owner.

Back in 2001 he founded the seminal Relish label in direct response to a then-dominant sound in club music. Its catalogue is as vast as it is varied and foreshadowing the music he'd go on to make himself under Headman/Manhead. Some highlights are IT ROUGH, Birth School Work Death, in the early years for the newer period tracks such as Be Loved, Dechainee. He also was busy remixing the likes of Roxy Music, The Gossip, Franz Ferdinand, The Units, Unknown Cases, Gina X and many more.
Relish has also been busy releasing international talents and remixes such as Daniel Avery, Red Axes, Borusiade, Manfredas.


Fast forward to 2018 he's on the move again launching new Project label, Industria with - not quite an album, not quite an EP - Hard Work. The debut was released under Robi's own name.
Industria will be focused more on vinyl releases, but not solely vinyl. The project will encompass all areas of Robi's work and ties together elements of his art and visual design projects and products.
