Introducing the new Son Of Chi album 'We Carry Eden'. Invited by Orb Magazine to make a podcast that reflects the sources, the inspiration and deeper layers behind the 'We Carry Eden' album.

"I just started sampling and editing music I was listening to lately. I mixed them with samples from 'We Carry Eden' and also from a few ongoing projects I'm working on. Somehow it all easily came together. I just let the music find me and tried not to get involved too much. 
Or as the American poet Robert Lax said (also featured on 'We Carry Eden'): "You have to put yourself in a position where grace can flow to you". 

It has been an exiting trip to work on this mix. Hope you will enjoy. This collage is not for sale and will not be released. All rights belong to the original artists. It represents storytellers, messengers, passengers in time and sonic travelers, known and unknown, from all times, cultures and disciplines. It's a message of love and respect for all of them that dedicate and dedicated their lives to create harmony and beauty in this world of changes.

Sebby Kowal is an American ambient & dub techno producer. He has been making ambient music since 2021 and dub techno since 2024. Sebby would describe his music as minimal with delicate textures and field recordings. He has been on a number of labels such as Rohs!/Lontano Series, Drift Deeper Recordings, Shimmering Moods Records, Atlantea Records, Florina Cassettes, Deep Electronics, Cold Tear Records and more.
Sebby believes when you create ambient and dub techno music, the possibilities are endless. In the future Sebby has a number of new projects coming up from mixes, compilations, Ep's and new albums.

The warm afterglow of a weekend of music. Smoke filled rooms and comforting tones, all shades of ambient and beyond. This is what I played for my set on Sunday, the final day at our annual barn gathering. Everyone melted into couches, flitting in and out of consciousness. As light turned to darkness ever so gently, we all took turns providing a sonic window into what the day of rest and recovery means.

I think you've known me to grumble about too much music for at least a decade now. How does one keep up? Plus, in this digital day and age, it's without a doubt too easy to host your latest bedroom opus and to blast the link away. How does one sift through? This is where the impeccable curation of the label comes in, ladies and gentlemen. I believe that by investing in the artist (both, financially and timewise), the imprint is doing more than putting its stamp on a new sound - it is refining all the noise. The artist is the generator, the label is the filter, and I am the amplifier in the endless signal flow of music. This is how I come upon this record. Appearing as the first entry in James Murray's brand new Slowcraft Presents series, Alapastel is a labour of love, both from the Slovakian composer and producer Lukáš Bulko, of course, but also from James Murray who carefully handcrafted this limited edition "for people who treasure beautiful audio artefacts."

"Demon catches a very sudden and intense awakening into the cruel essence of today’s late-modern society, viewed as deeply narcissistic (inability to see another perspective as its own). The citizens of this society can be seen as closed individuals, exhausted by the war with their own selves.
