You can normally find Oskar and his FLS show on @altoradio on the second Sunday of the month. Alternatively, you can hear what he's been finding whilst digging out and about in good old school spots with plenty of dust via his YT channel.  After chatting he even decided to visit our local record shop (s/o's to 586 records) here in Newcastle.

Be prepared for a journey as after an overexcited session in his flat he end up recording a six and a half hour mix! Enjoy as one or in smaller parts :)

Host of 'Das Lebendige Radio' (formerly on rtm.fm) he popped into our inbox with the following message and mix -

'About six months ago I picked up a green record at a small art and vintage gallery in Pimlico. On the back of the sleeve I read that it was the culmination of a two day workshop focused on the exploration of hip-hop. The twist: The workshop happened at ETAT, a community group for the elderly.

The gallery was full with locals celebrating the opening of its latest art exhibition. As I went up to pay, someone shouted: 'Thats my record!'. A bubbly lady, probably in her 70s walked up to me and took the record out of my hand to proclaim to everyone in the small room: 'This is my record! I'm a rapper!'

This mix is inspired by a chance encounter with a chance piece of art. The record is a loose collage of even looser interpretations of hip-hop. It was the perfect start, middle and end point to explore my own - very loose - interpretation of the genre.'

After cycling across Japan for two months, Dutch music enthusiast and collector Spolia shares Furimuite Mita Kawa - a mix built entirely from Japanese records spanning 1973 to 1998. Covering a broad range of genres, from new age and synth pop to electronic, the mix reflects the records discovered along the way and the music that kept him company during the trip.

We're huge fan's of the Estimuloshow that has been filling the underground radio waves for many years in one form or another. His shows are always filled with quality unknown (to us) dance fodder causing us to go digging. Also, be sure to check out his monthly Cashmere Radio broadcast on his page for more deep diamonds.

As with his previous release "Planted Seeds" on Inner Shift Music, Gene Hunt yet again delivers with the "Distant Lands" EP. Kayla Dream is aptly named as you are taken into a long atmospheric dream with a hard energetic Gene Hunt Chicago edge. Distant Voyage takes this journey into a more dynamic direction with even more energy and subtle unexpected twists. Last but certainly not least we have Open Up Your Eyes with contrasting abstract elements that you would never dream would work except, with Gene Hunt it does. As always he's ahead of curve with this three track EP being a prime example of his own unique underground style of dance music.
