Max Hammer @maxhammur delivers a tip-top recording for MIX035​, a sun-drenched blend of boogie-disco juice that glides between eras and continents with real flair. Now based in Naarm/Melbourne, Max (a Glaswegian native) is the co-organiser of SANGAM, a fresh monthly celebration of sound, culture, and style ​that's hosted in some of the city’s most ridiculously cool and intimate venues. Influenced by early sound system sessions at The 78, late nights at Le Cheetah, and more, he brings with him a slice of Glasgow’s underground spirit.

This mix is steeped in that same energy​...think off-peak mystical grooviness that feels both nostalgic and new. From the driving pulse of Tabou Combo’s “Let’s Do The Groove”, to the smoky uplift of Eloise Whitaker’s “I Will Fight”, Max digs with heart, jumping borders with ease.

Welcome Berlin-based digger, DJ & producer Tom Bolas. He runs Average Records @averagerecordsbln with a killer YouTube channel too, showcasing good or weird (and often rare) music with top-shelf digs

The mix in his words:
"The idea was to play some of the tunes that I enjoyed most through the summer months and to capture that feeling again as we are moving into autumn. I meant to finish the mix a few weeks ago in time for the last summer days, so let’s hope we get an Indian summer in Europe. I’ve had a string of edits come out recently on the amazing new @SmuttyEdits label as well as Duca Bianco and a 10 year-old Reggae-Disco edit is coming out on a local Berlin label in the not too distant future as well. I’ll be in Istanbul in late October / early November to play at @Arkaoda and a couple other places with Venus Exotica - looking forward to it."
