"Songwriting has been, and continues to be, an outlet which enables me to express my observations, feelings and experiences.  For me, personally, there is no formula to writing a song.  Some songs take a relatively small amount of time to write – others can take many years until they reach a point where I feel they are complete. Without exception, the inspiration comes at times when I do not feel under pressure to write.  The process of writing and recording my thoughts is, at times, therapeutic; at other times, such as in the case of ‘War’, it leaves me deeply challenged by the emotions it provokes”.
Since 2001, almost 30,000 Australian men and women from our Australian Defence Force served in Afghanistan. During the 12 years spent in Afghanistan-( Australia's longest ever War ), 41 Australian soldiers were killed and hundreds were seriously wounded. Many of the soldiers returned safely on home soil but lost the battle with the demons that followed them home. The number of serving and former soldiers who have taken their own lives is now more than 12 times Australia's combat toll in Afghanistan. There are hundreds if not thousands who will carry permanent Physical and Mental illness with them for the rest of their lives. "Lest We Forget" them our Modern Day Veterans and their families also on Anzac Day. 'War' is a song that came from meeting Afghanistan war veteran Beau Rutledge who served in Afghanistan 2008. I hope it goes a little way towards paying my respects to the men and women of our Australian Defence Force and to all our Modern Day Veterans. " LEST WE FORGET "

HeadShoW are a Brisbane based rock/alternative/grunge band.
Members: Josh Thistlethwaite, Aif De-Rooy, Scott Crighton, Ryan McCabe.

Spanning 50 years of combined musical experience, this Brisbane group's music unites their many influences to create an alternative and progressive sound tempered with 90's grunge and hard rock. With two primary songwriters, each delivering the main vocal for their own songs and careful harmonies for each other’s, a HeadshoW performance is as diverse as it gets. Add that to intricate yet pounding drums and percussion along with atmospheric guitar riffs and effects and you have an intense sound unlike typical rock music of today.

After a solid year of playing live shows, creative writing and recording new material, 2015 is shaping up to be an explosive year for the band as they pave their way through the Australian music scene following the release of their self-titled debut EP in 2014 and the pending release of their follow-up EP expected to drop in July 2015.
