S Ruston lives to blow out parties with sexed up radical sounds, breakbeats, UK bass & rave welded into a techno framework. As resident of Berlin's infamous femme-forward party collective Lecken and of the techno basement of the theatrical house party that is Wilde Renate, S Ruston fully flexes the breadth of her DJ expertise and curatorial skills, rudely plowing ahead to thrust her ravey intentions against the audience's limits.

Initially DJ and coming from an industrial rave background, 131bpm grows his outstanding digging skills while playing in illegal parties, constantly looking for new sonorities.
Always sweaty and sexy, his sets are very eclectic, builded from punchy techno to vocal electro breakbeat, smattered with chicago ghetto house and 90´s groovy tracks.
Strongly implanted in the queer techno Berlin scene, he played in places like Whole Festival in Ferropolis, Lecken and Members in Berlin, Sous Tes Reins in Paris, and in Milan for Solida and Vitamina where he is a resident.
He released his first 12" in January 2020, "Rim That Snare"

This mix was made especially for my technodrifters far & wide in time for the Winter Solstice and the Grand Conjunct. The idea was to press play at 18:30 & drift, with the ending being aligned with the Saturn & Jupiter Conjunction at 19:37 CET. The tempo is 128bpm throughout - the optimum drifting tempo. There are added vocals throughout the mix with particular meaning & attached to specific memories of the ghosts of our ravey pasts. 

The call to arms from Maria Scaroni, technodrift creator:

'Technodrifters it’s the darkest time of year. If you have a bit of a pagan, either undercover or outed spiritual practice, you know these days are for planting intentional seeds for the returning sun. We will dance away assessing 2020 and dance intentions and wishes towards 2021. Sophie conjured a mix just for this purpose, so there is much power given already to the collective mind.

This drift is dedicated to Mariana, who vanished at the end of summer leaving many longing to have one last dance with her. A sunshine. May this dance serve your grieving in tender recognition.'
