Liam de Bruin's slinky late night synth groover 'Lavender' has been championed by Osunlade, Jimpster, Mousse T, The Reflex, Delfonic and KCRW, and is continuing to build in the deep house underground. This remix from Zeitgeist Freedom Energy Exchange ups the tempo, toughens the beats and adds touches of acid and percussion, sitting nicely alongside ZFEX's other recent collaborations with Wayne Snow, Ge-Ology, Àbáse and Jitwam's Jazz Diaries label. Now relocated to Berlin, 30/70 offshoot ZFEX were one of Liam's inspirations in the buzzing Melbourne live jazz/house scene alongside Close Counters, Harvey Sutherland, Horatio Luna and Teymori. The ZFEX remix is taken from Liam's six-track 'Thinking About Dancing' EP on Heard and Felt, including a limited die-cut felt cover vinyl edition.

'Rolling  Devastation'  funks  the  bass  synth  and  beats  forfour  minutes,  with  echoes  of  a  house  legend  coming  along  to  jack  to  the  groove.  The  fourth  track  is  'Third'  whichcould  be  what  a  Martyn  remix  of  Kraftwerk  might  sound  like.

An  extra  special  treat  comes  in  the  form  of  a  killer  remix  from  London  duoModified  Man  (AKAScrimshire  andDeoke),  following  previous  remixes  of  Wu  Kush  and  Juxtpose  fromOpolopo,Christian  Vance  and  Heard  andFelt  label  bossEnnio  Styles.  The  Modified  Man  remix  keeps  the  essential  percussion  and  chords  from'Xenomorph'  yet  totally  reshapes  the  groove  with  a  mellow  broken  beat  and  warm  synths,  then  adding  a  surprisehouse  twist  late  in  the  piece. He saves his funkiest grooves for Heard and Felt, now using the Wu Kush moniker for this side of his sound where he leans towards house, Detroit techno, electro funk and broken rhythms. Title track 'Xenomorph' drops big techno chords over layers of afro percussion and chants. Jonny Faith's journey in music has taken him from Edinburgh, through London and Sydney, to his adopted hometown of Melbourne. Along the way he has toured Japan with Bonobo, been remixed by Clap! Clap!, performed alongside Flying Lotus and Dam-Funk and dropped LPs on labels shared by Quantic and Debruit (Kokoko).

Jonny's particular knack for sneaking cosmic melodies into cutting edge beats drawing on hip hop, jungle, footwork and dub has won him support from Clash, Gilles Peterson, Radio Nova, KCRW, DJ Mag, Triple J, Don Letts, Lauren Laverne and even Martin Garrix.

While he is mostly known for instrumental music, Jonny's sound is actually perfectly suited to vocal collaborations, as those familiar with his production for Harleighblu and remixes for The Bamboos and Hot 8 Brass Band are well aware. 

The first single from his forthcoming 'Night Lights' EP, 'Fana' stands on its own in instrumental form, with chiming melodics and arpeggiated synths building over crisp uptempo drums and deep bass tones. But it is with the vocals of Melbourne-based Guinean artist Mohamed Camara that the track really takes off.
