San Francisco based record label Roam Recordings celebrates its 100th release with a compilation from beloved alumni and new artists offering original work spanning darker shades of disco, cosmic techno, psychedelic, and acid house. What started as a group of ravers in the mid 90s that roamed the countryside (mostly in the US, Canada, and Mexico) looking for parties has evolved under the direction of its boss Jason Peters into a record label featuring a diverse array of internationally known artists. The intent of the record label is to continue the journey in search of new sounds while honoring the past. The Roam 100 Compilation is a milestone in that journey. It has been arranged to be enjoyed from beginning to end and to be rifled through at will.

Bosco050.5 follows the sound of the previous one serving four most exciting electro, italo-disco and acid infected floor burners!
“Run it Back” is a simple and dry tune, has those big cutting edge sounds typical of the early 2000 80's contaminated electro.. perfect for your starting set or in recreating that unique atmosphere.
On the A side follows “Half Way Trough”, an effortlessly driving tech-acid house tune, strangely compelling, with a timeless feeling.. looking like an essential weapon for any dancefloor.
B side starts with the spicy electro-disco tune “Over The Machines” epic and functional at the same time with evocative arpeggios and a mechanical vocodered speach.
The Ep ends with the cyberfunk stomper "Revolution" , a twisted electro funk groover in typical Minimono vein.
Fabio Della Torre and Ennio Colaci celebrate this 50th.5 release on Bosconi in great style, remodernising the sound that they used to like when they first met in the early 2000, under the influence of those Berlin labels like Areal, Sender, Festplatten, Funkhaus, Beautycase, Lasergun, Gigolo.. and all of those labels who trademarked the sound of those unforgettable Berlin days.

Following rock solid releases from Kalson and Algy Strutt, Gouranga Music has turned to sometime Roam Recordings and Spa In Disco artist K-Effect for EP number three. The experienced producer delivers the goods - and then some - on title track "Awareness", a chugging, psychedelic disco throb-job rich in hypnotic organ motifs, druggy acid lines, Italo-style arpeggio bass and pulsating peak-time drums. It's borderline trance-inducing, and in our book that's no bad thing. Virtual flipside "R.E.M Phasex" is equally mind-altering in its own way, with K-Effect wrapping oddball melodic motifs, creepy chords and strange noises around a bassline reminiscent of Rinder & Lewis's legendary cover version of "Willie and the Hand Jive", and drums that shuffle and echo across the sound space.

Release number 12 comes from the label founder Kolomensky and explores some tribal aesthetics. 

There are two versions of the title track ‘Mystic Rush’ — electro tool and lighter ‘disco-techno’, both filled with electrified synths, cowbells and tribe vocals. 
Second original ‘Jungle Mirror’ is an ambient cut with tropical field recordings, bong percussions and spacey synths which are unfolding the story contained in the track title. 

On the remixes we have our Vilnius favourite, prolific Roe Deers with groovy but unusual for him mellow version of the title track and Milan based Tagliabue who transforms ‘Jungle Mirror’ into tense and psychedelic epic trip.

Mt. Rave return with a fantastic single track outing for Slowciety after releasing their debut EP on the Paris-based label last year. The Mt. Rave duo, consisting of Slowciety co-founders Clint and 6tizen, turn open the taps once more. Following their dreamy account opener, they drive up the rhythm and intensity with 'Drumquest'. This driving, mid-tempo crowd pleasure is part of Slowciety's single-track series, which they launched last year with a track by Orsery.
