In anticipation of Blood Groove & Kikis's forthcoming "Wonderland" artist album, arriving March 25, 2014, on Silk Digital, Silk Music Publishing announces its "Both" remix competition. Veteran and aspiring producers alike will have the chance to remix Blood Groove & Kikis vs. LTN's "Both" and have their remixes released on Silk Digital, Silk's parent label. With its 80th single release arriving in Spring, Silk Digital has released tracks by many of the leading artists in progressive over the past 6 years and has received radio support on the industry's top radio shows, such as: "Group Therapy," "International Departures," "Solaris International," "Cycles Radio," and "Jaytech Music".

Silk Digital Records will be selecting three winners for a special "Both" remixes release on the imprint later this year. We encourage participants to remix in the specific genres of progressive house and progressive breaks — the standard niche of Silk Digital — but we will also consider exceptional entries in trance, deep house, and chillout.


There will be three key phases of the competition:

1. February 15th - March 31st, 2014 - Download phase. Download the remix parts, and get remixing. 
2. February 28th - March 31th, 2014 - Upload/Submission phase. Send your remix by link to max@silk-music.com. The remix parts will still be available to download during this phase.
3. March 31st - April 6th, 2014 - Deliberation phase. Silk management chooses the top remixes.
After a deliberation phase, the winners will be announced on April 7th, 2014, and three winning remixes will be released on Silk Digital Records soon thereafter.

Competition rules:
1. Download the remix parts of Blood Groove & Kikis vs. LTN's "Both". 
2. Remix the track. All genres mentioned above are welcome, though, progressive house is preferable. Please note: your track does not need to be mastered.
3. Submit your remix as a private SoundCloud link to max@silk-music.com. Make the subject of your email "Silk Digital Remix Contest". Also, we encourage you to include a short bio, with all of your social networking pages.
4. The download phase begins on February 15th, 2014. 
5. The submission phase of the "Both" remix competition starts on February 28th, 2014 and ends on March 31st, 2014. 
6. The winners of the "Both" remix competition will be chosen by Silk's management team by April 6th, 2014. 
7. Silk's management will contact the winners within 2 weeks after they are announced, with info about the release date, WAV specifications, etc.
8. Tracks using uncleared samples from sources outside of the "Both" parts will be disqualified. An "uncleared sample" is a musical work, loop or sample for which you do not own a copyright or is not legally available by a royalty-free sample library.
9. All remixes submitted for this contest become the legal property of Silk Digital Records. Your remix contest submission becomes the legal property of the record label hosting the competition as protection against the release of unauthorized remixes in the form of bootlegs or on other record labels. 
10. All trademarks and logos are protected. All rights of the producer and the owner of the recorded work are reserved. Unauthorized copying, hiring, renting, public performance and broadcasting of this record, remix or remix parts is prohibited. 
11. You may upload your remix to SoundCloud or MySpace and other online sites, but it must be clearly named as a "Silk Digital Remix Competition Entry" eg:

He is a key flag bearer in the modern day progressive genre within dance music, as well as being regarded as one of Coldharbour's most outstanding talents. Continuing his multilayered We Are One journey; Solid Stone presents an expanded second chapter; spanning five tracks on this occasion.

However, one striking aspect of We Are One: Chapter 2 is an ever-increasing reflection and appreciation towards Solid Stone's home surroundings; paying homage to the afterhours capital of the world, Montreal, Quebec.

Individually, the tracks Detox, They Come at Night and Just About Right sit right at home in the electric environment of the small hours; with Detox a feature in Markus Schulz's recent open to close solo set at Stereo, and They Come at Night starring in the special themed Global DJ Broadcast Afterdark.

But for Solid Stone, the We Are One series isn't just about his own efforts. He recruits rising Dutch talent THNK for the pacey and unforgiving Demorgorgon, whilst Michael Gin returns to the fray with a beautifully lush slice of vocal progressive alongside Dan Robinson, in the form of Moments.
