After Gilb'R's remix of J.A.K.A.M. a few months ago, we're delighted to premiere another track off their latest release : an EP by The Kloom, a new all-star project born in Dusseldorf through members of Autarkic, Naduve, Stabil Elite and more. Needless to say, impressive cast. The Die Wilde Jagd remix was our choice of the day, a slow motion groover topped with analog waves and haunting delayed vocals. Out this month so don't sleep !

Einige der ältesten Vergnügen der Menschheit werden erst dann auf einer wirklich tiefen Ebene erlebt, wenn man sich bei ihnen Zeit lässt: Essen. Denken. Sinnliche Liebe.
Mit diesem Gedanken im Hinterkopf überrascht es nicht, dass der Sound von She Knows mit ihren 10 bpm weniger sich spürbar von der einheitlichen Clubmusik abhebt. Sobald die tanzende Person sich die Zeit zugesteht, wirklich zuzuhören und sich vollständig in Teresa Tomás‘ weiche und doch kraftvolle Stimme und in die schmelzenden Klänge von Marcel Dadaltos
Synthesizern fallen zu lassen, wird die perfekte Grundlage für das geschaffen, was nicht anders als „Die Magie der Tanzfläche“ zu beschreiben ist.
Die spanische Sängerin und der aus Brasilien stammende Produzent lernten sich im Jahr 2014 kennen und beschlossen bald darauf, ihren ganz eigenen Klang zu kreieren: ein Hybrid aus 90ies Art Pop und moderner elektronischer Tanzmusik, der hier und da eine Idee ihrer beider musikalischer Wurzeln durchblicken lässt. Dabei ist es She Knows Credo, die Spontanität und den Funken des Moments in ihre Musik einfließen zu lassen, ganz so wie sie es bei ihren Jamsessions erleben. Und so überrascht es nicht, dass sich dieser einzigartige Klang schnell europaweit herumsprach. In den vergangenen Sommern hypnotisierten She Knows mit ihrem Liveact das Publikum in den bekanntesten Clubs Berlins wie dem about:blank, der Rummelsbucht, dem Kater Blau, der Ritter Butzke, dem Yaam und auf der Wildne Möhre, der Fusion und dem Garbicz Festival.
Es gibt wohl kaum einen Ort als das weithin bekannte Bar 25 Label, auf dem ihre EP „Distorted Images“ besser aufgehoben wäre. Einer der Tracks der EP, „Thalassa“, erschien bereits auf der zweiten „Zeitgeist“ Compilation des Labels.
Sicher ist, dass dieses Duo noch viele Menschen in seinen Bann ziehen wird – vor allem, wenn ihnen dieses extra Quäntchen an Zeit zugestanden wird, das die guten Dinge erst richtig besonders macht.

We are proud and honored to present Israeli born DJ Jack Lavy. 
He's been making solid moves in the underground techno scene of Tel-Aviv in the last couple of years. Young and passioned, with his unique style of industrial hypnotic sounds and taste, Jack is also a part of Obscure, a techno collective based also in Tel Aviv, running the Obscurity line in Sputnik Bar and playing around the best clubs the city has to offer.

Working on their first release, soon the world will have OBSCURE's unique style out there. So keep posted.

She Knows is a spanish-brazilian duo with an unmistakable sound: a mix of 90's Pop and modern Dance music. Their credo - to take time for the beautiful things in life, in order to experience these on a deeper level - are mirrored in their music. Argentinian duo Analog Jungs make their debut on Hope Recordings with a sensational four-track EP. Breaking into the scene in 2015, Claudio Cornejo and Gustavo Ruartebring with them a rich progressive legacy from a country synonymous with the melodic side of house music. Already signed to some solid imprints such as Balkan Connection, Clinique Recordings, Dopamine Music and Or Two Strangers, Analog Jungs are well on their way to stardom.

The EP begins with the swaggering‘Voltaire’. 80s sensibilities and crisp production set this track apart and signal what’s to come. ‘Smiles’ follows from a deeper, subtly tribal place. More thoughtful than its wilder brother, this is perfect warm up material for the cooler floors.

‘Mission Capsule’ is an energetic, percussive groover. Pads drift in and out with a will of their own as the main synth hooks you in for the full ride. Rounding out the pack, ‘Iceman’ continues at pace. Warm, inviting pads marry with a woodblock-led percussive cushion as the breaks cools the tension before providing the all-important pay off.

Dutch producer Tom Zeta makes an organic and incredible remix for Yarosslav's 'Confused', Barcelona established Undo remixes Moy Santana & Averno's 'Declination Llum' and coming from North Spain, Zabala makes a dreamy version for beGun's 'Kuria'.

Returning to Sudbeat after the excellent ‘Human’ EP is Emi Galvan with three more dancefloor bombs in the form of the ‘Alfa Zeta’ EP.

Emi Galvan has blazed quite a trail within the progressive community over the last four years. It was 2015 that he became a significant blip on dance music’s radar with the excellent ‘Mexico Trip’ and ‘You Never’. DJ support from the upper echelons of the genre has cemented his position, and spurred him on to ever greater achievements.

‘Alfa Zeta’ opens with ominous chords as the shaker led percussion draws you in. In no rush to leave, the groove develops patiently; layering synths and melody aplomb. ‘Karma’ is more insistent. It’s Moroder-like bass drives forward with Bladerunner sweeps and Eastern keys adding mystery. Rounding out the pack is the uptempo ‘Trust’. Built around a repeating hook, crisp percussive layers and powerful pads energise and grow over time into a climatic peak time monster.

For his first full release for Selador he enlists two of his most trusted collaborators in the form Wolf & Moon. The singer/songwriters bring added dimension to John’s deliciously lo-slung indie flavoured groove, their repetitive alternating vocal hooks stubbornly etching their way into your subconscious. So much so, we were left with little option but to excitedly wave the white flag and give into their demands immediately.

'New York City’s Tim Robert is driven to create music that is rich with creativity and emotional depth and to bring compelling DJ/vocal performances to live audiences. Originally a rock guitarist, vocalist and songwriter, Tim’s bands released albums and toured the U.S. in the early 90s; he then wrote music and lyrics for rock theater in the late 90s and early 2000s.

Inspired by the immense sonic adventurousness and emotional power of electronic dance music, Tim ultimately turned to producing and DJing. Tim’s productions are now gaining the attention of the international underground scene, and with several of Tim's releases featuring his own vocals, he is beginning to sing live at his club shows.

Modern Agenda is thrilled to have this new EP from Tim Robert – Love Will Make Us Fly, with unique remixes from qoob and Robert Mason. Tim’s powerful performance background shines with the title vocal track. It’s got that old school, new-age, groovy psychedelic sound – met by current Underground vibes. The Dub is a welcome addition to the pack for those who are a bit vocal-shy in their mixes.

qoob brings us his dreamy, synth-laden progressive sounds for that “touch the sky” piece de resistance. From the first enlightening note, you know you are set to take flight with qoob on a beautiful soundscape journey.

Premiere: Tim Robert - Love Will Make Us Fly (Dub Mix) [Modern Agenda]

Clubsonica Records begins their 2019 journey by welcoming Armandhe back to the label for a new EP. Previously known as Soluna, the Colombian artist adopted the Armandhe moniker with his ‘Sacred Heart/Ozadya' double a-side release from July of last year. A fresh start has only provided more creative energy for Armandhe who has continued to unite progressive music fans with his redolent creations. Now returning to his home label of Clubsonica, the Medellin resident presents his 'Inside the Music Box / While the Wolf's Away' EP alongside remixes from Paul Angelo & Don Argento and Jonnas B.

Beginning with ‘Inside the Music Box' Armandhe explores a deeper side of his studio repertoire. Free flowing from the outset, it's rippling low end provides a fluid energy while quirky hooks and timely effects fill in the framework. Stripping down into the main break, the musical narrative expands, opening a spiritual reservoir of glowing clusters and emotive chord changes, before effortlessly shifting energy into an evocative final act. 

The companion piece ‘While the Wolf's Away' follows a similar sonic ethos with its drummy tension and musical meanderings. Beginning with a warm, rolling groove the piece moves with discernible momentum, as layers of atmosphere and cascading themes converge in a perfect sonic marriage. As the second act evolves, striking electronics bring a melodic tension of sorts, dramatic and poignant in equal measure, they elevate the mood further before flowing beautifully into a rousing finale.

The first interpretation of ‘While the Wolf's Away' is provided by Paul Angelo & Don Argento who make their label debut here. The Cyprus based production team were undoubtedly one of 2018's fastest rising progressive house duos. Support from Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren came in waves and the duo's groovy, dance floor inspired take on the genre quickly became an irresistible trend. Now making their first and highly anticipated appearance on Clubsonica Paul & Don provide a stunning take on ‘While the Wolf's Away'. Dark and brooding from the outset, it's chugging cadence and ghostly motifs are immediately compelling. Indistinct vocals trail through the framework, elevating mood and tension throughout the break, before cascading tones and percussive flurries unite for an exhilarating apex and powerful drop. 

The release concludes with Jonnas B returning to the label and providing the second and final interpretation of ‘While the Wolf's Away'. A staple of Colombia's progressive underground for seven years the Medellin based artist has earned play and support from the world's biggest DJs, most notably Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren. Now making a welcome return to Clubsonica, Jonnas rounds out the release with a superb rendition of ‘While the Wolf's Away'. Shifting mood and tempo to a deeper place it's a piece which excels on rhythm and groove. Perfectly contoured, its thick slabs of bass power forward as intricate percussion, delicate arps and haunting atmospherics lead into the break. Like an ultrasonic wave, emotional energy rises across the eighty second centrepiece, eventually melting down to rolling drums and a sheet of white noise, perfectly setting up a magical dance floor moment. A spectacular remix from Jonnas which caps off another must have release from Clubsonica Records, who get 2019 off to an incredible start.
