Since we’re feeling festive, we thought it would be a nice time to put out another S&S Guest mix and this time we’ve pulled out the Big Guns in the form of Rory Hoy

Rory is a multi-award winning music producer/DJ, author and film maker. He has DJ’ed throughout the country in clubs and at Major Festivals including Leeds Festival, Leeds United Football Club, and he was the Opening Act at the Tour de France Fan Park performing to over 20,000 people and has DJ’d in Paris several times. He’s supported Craig Charles on his Funk & Soul tours and Craig plays his tracks regularly on his BBC6 Funk & Soul Show.

Rory Definitely delivers in this mix with a big upbeat vibe form start to finish. Without doubt one to get the party started over the festivities.

By way of extreme contrast, HC19 is, yeah, something completely different. A selection of rather poptastic old-school mashes and remixes in a reggae / hip-hop style with a little funk thrown in, some of which you've probably heard if you've caught Eric playing somewhere early in the evening. J*Star, Shepdog & Nuffwish/Bangers R Mashed get a couple apiece, as they're all pretty much solid quality when it comes to this sort of thing. Definitely a mix to keep in mind when those long summer evenings come along (unless you're on the side of the world that's got them right now, in which case, here ya go!)

Been wanting to do this for a while, and it seemed like it would be a daunting undertaking, but seeing as Ableton & Soundcloud have donated some extra free space on here for a few months, I thought I'd better use it, and it all seems to have turned out rather splendid indeed. Three one-hour-or-so mixes and a compendium of some of my favourite mashups, remixes, edits and general insanity, or at least the ones that I could string together in some sort of coherant order. If you've heard me DJ at any point over the Kleptones lifetime, there will be more than a few familiar things here, for sure...

So here you go, nearly three and a half hours - 70 tracks and a few uncredited inserts and nibbles. And there still wasn't room for any Drum'N'Bass, or any mellow stuff... and I tried to limit each producer and artist to one appearance only (Tried and failed as a couple are in there twice...) - guess I'll have to pick all that slack up in future mixes, won't I?
