Bienvenidos a un nuevo episodio de Metrónomo, avanzamos por la recta final de esta aventura y rozamos el presente de la historia de la música electrónica nacional para detenernos en el año 2014.
Un año en el que la palabra crisis protagonizaba la mayoría de los titulares de la prensa generalista, mientras la escena electrónica nacional se mantenía como un ejemplo de regeneración y expansión, también de masificación, con nuevos eventos, nuevos festivales, nuevos nombres, nuevas reglas del juego… y también de proyectos sin precedentes.
Y ese es exactamente el caso de Beatz un documental sobre las “divergencias y contradicciones” de la música electrónica, elaborado a pulso por un artista, que quiso proyectar un mensaje e iluminar el camino de su largo aprendizaje… Eduardo de la Calle.

Despite it technically being mid-summer in June (not August), this Garden was a belter.  There was a RiteTrax festival on at the Bolehills during the day and when that finished the hordes descended on the Hallamshire making it one of the busiest yet.  I had an early evening set and played some deep Techno with a splash of trance at the end, enjoy!

The Secret Garden Mid-Summer 2017

PL: Piotr Figiel - producent muzyczny, live performer i DJ z Krakowa. Redaktor audycji „Essentia Electronica” w Off Radio Kraków, w której to często gości Wyroby Technopodobne. W swojej twórczości skupia się na brzmieniach z pogranicza techno i IDM. Dla nas nagrał set DJ'ski wypełniony melodyjnymi i minimalowymi utworami.  Wieczorami lubi poczytać dobrą książkę, przy dźwiękach Moderata.

EN: Piotr Figiel - music producer, live performer and DJ from Krakow. Editor of the "Essentia Electronica" - program at Off Radio Krakow, in which he often hosts Us. In his work, he is focuses on sounds of techno and IDM. For us, he recorded a DJ set filled with melodic and minimal trax. In the evenings he likes to read a good book while listening to Moderat.

Für die Ewigwachgebliebenen zum Feierabendbier, für die Frühaufsteher als Seelenfutter zum Wochenbeginn: Montagssorbet mit Laut & Luise. Alles erlaubt, was gut tut und Gedanken kreisen lässt, nur der Name ist Programm: cremig, fluffig und ganz schön weich.

Ganz schön lange Wochenenden brauchen ganz schön schöne Montage. Ganz schön dann auch, dass das nun jetzt nach all der Karnevalei gerad dieser ist. Noch besser schön, auch sowieso, dass das ganz unverhofft ein kleiner Kolibré beschert, ganz langsam und ganz liebenswert, nicht nur gebützt, sondern richtig reingeküsst: @PurplePash. Eine kleine große Premiere, denn alles von ihm selbst und vieles auch ganz neu. Man sagen: Dankeschön!

This is a set that I played at a loft party I did in Montreal this past New Year. It was mostly close friends, unavoidable acquaintances, and a select crew of gay, multi-ethnic male dancers. I had just bought a sound system from an old club, along with a strobe, smoke machine, laser, and giant, family-and-friends-sized hammock I smuggled in from Goa. I had assembled the right people and lured them into the right environment. That's Vibe Building 101, brother, and it will count towards your minor in Funkultural Studies.
Never mind the 'biz'. All you really need to know? I played this set for I and I. Whom and whom? I and I, guy. I wasn't "at" this party. I didn't "play" this party. I WAS and AM this party. 
Download the mix, make the time, and feel the arc of a trip you are free to take. I'm not saying it was perfect by any means. I'll leave that for your to say. But this is over 5 1/2 hours of some of my favourite psychedelic techno-funk of all time (AFX, Aphex Twin, Caustic Window, Polygon Window, etc). Come and kiss the cosmic light, people! I'll be here watching from the foot of the bed...
