Presenting 'Bouncy Tales'; the new four-track EP from Halfred, centered around the artist's whimsically cheerful sound. The opening track 'Slowctopus' is a bubbly halftime banger, sounding as oddly fun as a slimy sea creature moonwalking on the ocean bed, while 'Outta The Cave Man' takes the same tone and applies it to a pre-historic cabaret kind of setting. Snowons (VIP) is a polished rendition of Halfred's first contribution to Outtallectuals in 2015, upgraded for modern clarity, while Chuggington's heavier sound comes through the collaboration with producer, Know Matter. Overall, the EP's half-time / glitch DnB aura is crafted for light moments on dancefloors while maintaining the technical bass music production firmly in tact.

A new mix for the podcast was recorded by a very interesting Swedish musician - Acronym.

Acronym has shown his relentless energy and creativity as a producer, DJ and live musician by continuously releasing his own brand of electronic music on high quality labels such as Semantica, Northern Electronics and Field Records. With over a dozen releases so far, it started with him self-releasing his first record on his own label Dimensional Exploration in the end of 2012. His music is deep and dark immersion in the most hidden corners of consciousness.

The Droid Behavior co-founder, DJ and producer delivers a powerful mix of high-octane techno classics and killer new cuts.

Hailing from the San Gabriel Valley near Los Angeles, California, techno producer and DJ Drumcell has a studied history in electronic discovery. A classically trained music in his youth, he found himself raving to tough, punk rock-infused genres like EBM and industrial in the ’90s rave scene, becoming increasingly fascinated with sonic darkness. After founding the Droid Behavior label with fellow San Gabriel Valley ravers Vangelis and Vidal Raíz in the early 2000s, he got stuck producing his own music, engineering the music of others, and working for the instrument and sound development company Native Instruments. With a devotion to live hardware and analog sounds, Drumcell’s back catalog to date is a trippy collection of weird-as-hell, pumping techno oddities which draw for myriad influences and present him as one of the most consistently interesting artists of his style working today.

Мо получил любовь публики уже после выпуска дебютного альбома Sleep Complex, который вышел пять лет назад на CLR. Музыкант отворил врата в мир опустошенного техно, где главенствует ритм — он то вкрадчиво пульсирует в висках, то разносится эхом электрических всполохов по всему пространству композиции. Последующие ипишки на Dystopian и Bl_k Noise упрочили любовь к творчеству музыканта.

Mindspring Music presents: Slaycub - Visceral Planet [MSM102]

Slaycub's new EP with four tracks that have been in the making for well over a year; a year spent revisiting, reviving, and reinvigorating them with much love and care. These are some of his most emotional works, focusing more on the flow of tension and release rather than on technicality or pure experimentation.
The word “visceral” references deep emotion and intuition, in contrast to logic or reason. Placed next to “planet” in the title of this work, it exemplifies our Earth’s tendency to act intuitively and express its innermost fire. Its creatures are driven by instinct and are fueled by palpable, deep-rooted feeling.

~ The dream state is a part of consciousness in which we can experience emotion, often without limitations imposed by logic. “Dewdrop” is a nod to a song by Cocteau Twins, whose music reverberates through the depths of my own dreams, and whose ethereal influence is felt subtly throughout this body of work. Likewise, we are able to manifest these dreams into waking life and orchestrate our own soundtrack.

~ The title track is a convergence of our planet’s elemental emotions: its nurturing soil, mournful winds, cleansing rain, and eruptions of fire. It lives through these with vehemence, and vulnerability; both polarities are expressed in this track.

~ Our reality is built upon the fundamental fabric of space-time, which itself is not concrete, but flows, warps, and wobbles in a dance with the masses of our Universe. Earth’s mere existence creates a distortion in the geometry of this fabric.

~ Our planet rides along the grooves of the sun’s distortions. Sunlight begets all life on our planet, and is our source of light and warmth. This final track encapsulates the sparkling radiance of our star and the way its heat blankets us, and how it creates an impression on us both physically and emotionally.
