Sydney-based dubstep producer Know-U first started throwing parties, Djing drum and bass and playing in bands back in Newcastle, before his recent relocation brought him to the attention of The Frequency Lab collective, leading to his playing at their monthly label party. He’s also attracted significant attention already during his comparatively short career, with his tracks receiving blog and podcast support, as well as interest from UK dubstep names such as Hot Flush’s Gravious. 

His five track 12” EP on The Frequency Lab label, offers up the first taste of Know-U’s dark and brooding dubstep productions, and appropriately, takes its title ‘Kabuto’, from the Japanese word for Samurai helmet, suitably evoking an atmosphere that’s both exotic and hard-edged. An impressive debut offering from a local producer who’s definitely following his own muse, rather than simply being another dubstep soundalike.

For ARIA chart DJ Cadell, the inspiration came with the rise of Erick Morillo who took the house music scene over more than a decade ago. Firing off a winning vocal anthem with the deep and sultry shades of a tech-tainted tune, Cadell ignites a club every time he jumps on. Well respected across the Sydney electronic map, he has held the key to shows across the town supporting Laidback Luke, Calvin Harris, Thomas Gold, Roger Sanchez and Erick Morillo himself. From Marquee to The Argyle, Greenwood and Trademark, its no wonder Sydney music enthusiasts don’t resist a play on the dance floor with Cadell in charge. Yet with a music gold mine up his sleeve, Good Vibrations, Big Day Out and Pacha have too been struck giving this sure fire DJ a deserved welcome.

The last two decades have seen Cadell take the stage at some of the world’s most prestigious events and festivals while some of the largest brands in the world including Coca Cola, Qantas, Virgin, CBA, KPMG, Macquarie Bank have all been seduced by his musical selection and have chosen him to entertain them. Industry professionals enjoy picking at his knowledge embracing him as a leader in itself. From DJ instructor at DMC DJ School to monthly mix resident at Today FM’s The Revolution show, he has his stamp of approval in concrete. Outside of the booth Cadell is the Director of a digital music promotions service Musik Lounge where his collaborative record, label and marketing knowledge span far and wide.

Peter (Francis) Ficinus is a Melbourne born Sydney living DJ of 5+ years of club experience. He has played in almost every good club in Melbourne (QBar, Room680, Circus, Pretty Please, Billboards, Revolver) but has had a residency at the underground house venue Tramp Bar for the last two years with Melbourne veteran Brad Wall as Hedonism.
He is an established producer with multiple remixes for Vicious Records & Central Station, focusing on multi-genre productions (Dubstep/House/Indie Dance). 
These days Pete plays Disco/Indie Dance/Deep House with a positive jackin beats and focus on melody.
