For rapper Nnena (née Nnena Adigwe) making music is about telling stories; sharing the events that simultaneously define us and connect us to others. “I want my music to elicit the truth and make the listener feel comfortable. Born in Cleveland, OH, Nnena is a first-generation American in her Nigerian family. Being the child of parents who immigrated to America has pushed her, “My parents are my inspirations. In Nigeria, your kids are where you get your blessings from – I want to make them proud.” When it comes to music, Nnena’s inspiration comes from female MC storytelling elites. Lauryn Hill, Aretha Franklin, Missy Elliot and Queen Latifah line the inside locker of her mind. And much like her icons, Nnena draws inspiration for her own music from the female experience,“My raps are what other females wish they could say out loud, but I do it for them in a song.” Her neo-soul hooks and flowing melodies have caught the attention of everyone from BBC 1’s Annie Mac, Apple Music’s Ebro Darden, Teen Vogue, Yahoo!, Kaboom Magazine, and more. Known for her viral Hip Hop and R&B remixes of popular music. In 2017, she became an overnight star, with millions of people watching her. Leveled Up Music Group Artist Layton Greene is the next big thing of this Generation Z.

Layton is a Nashville, TN native but raised in E. Saint Louis. “I didn’t grow up in a musical family, but my Daddy loves music and my love for music started there”, says the singer. At 18 years old she started taking singing seriously.

Greene began making videos of herself singing some of her favorite tunes and posting them on social media. One of them was a version of Kodak Black's "Roll in Peace," with Greene putting her own spin on the lyrics. To her surprise, after posting it, the clip began attracting attention far beyond her circle of friends, going on to receive more than a million views. 

Layton Greene next partnered with producer G-Styles, recording a more professional version of what she called her "Roll in Peace Remix," and after it was posted online in November 2017, it exploded, receiving over three and a half million plays. The track became popular enough to rise to number 12 on the Hot R&B Songs chart. A few days before the end of 2017, Greene dropped her second studio track, an interpretation of Derez De'Shon's "Fed Up" that she called "Fed Up Remix." With G-Styles once again at the controls, Layton had recorded another success, and she celebrated by quitting her day job at a restaurant to focus on music full-time.

May 2018 Layton Greene debuted her original music and first single titled “Myself”.
