Like the calluses on my fingers that wax and wane, so too has the music in my life until in 2020 when something awoke in me and the songs began to pour out like never before. 

I have always made up my own songs and from a very young age I loved singing. In my teens I started writing songs for fun. Sometimes the words matter, sometimes they don't. It's all about the feeling of the moment that a song can take you when it connects. I've written hundreds of songs, mostly guitar and some electronic based but all pretty much unpublished, unperformed or left to percolate in my head or a motley of taped low quality recordings through the years. 

I only started playing live at the beginning of May 2022 when my doover really encouraged me. I'd just come from the studio, had a migraine and my voice was shot. I forgot songs that I'd lived with for decades and that I'd played only hours before. But I loved every moment and went back for more and more performing at Open Mic nights around Berkshire. Within a few weeks I was playing alongside other musicians and hearing music in such a new light. My songs have really grown in this fertile environment and so many new ones have blossomed forth including Spider's are Friends which I wrote and performed for the first time the same day. I’ve even started playing other people's songs for the very first time as I rediscover my first real love...

He Fired First is a high-octane folk punk trio known for their barnstorming live shows, blending raw energy with heartfelt songwriting and a rebellious edge. Fronted by Will on lead vocals, guitar, and stomp box, the band also features Dom with his unmistakably bouncy upright bass style, and Nick—formerly of folk punk band Smokey Bastard—on mandolin, accordion, bouzouki, and backing vocals.

Originally launched as Will’s solo project, He Fired First built a solid foundation supporting acts like the Dub Pistols, Gaz Brookfield, and Owen Paul, while earning spots on major festival lineups including Boomtown 2024, Guilfest 2022 and 2024, and Weyfest 2023.

The current lineup was brought together through country singer-songwriter Nicole Allen, whose introduction sparked a unique musical chemistry that turned the solo project into a full-force band. While they most often perform as a trio, He Fired First sometimes appears as a duo or with Will playing solo—no matter the lineup, the show is always charged with undeniable energy, emotion, and a powerful connection to the crowd.

With songs that range from raw and personal to unapologetically political, He Fired First speaks for the underdog—amplifying voices that too often go unheard. Their sound blends punk grit with folk heart, offering anthems of resistance, resilience, and rebellion that connect deeply with audiences everywhere.

Natural Right create their own unique blend of original reggae ska with an indie & Balkan influence. The band is currently based between Reading, Brighton and London.

John E. Stoker was a rock and roller. When his life fell apart in the first week of Sept. 2001, he took a few remaining possessions and hitchhiked to NYC. Included in those possessions were a handful of homemade CDs with mid-West return addresses written on them. They were entitled: “Take This CD and Copy It If You Like, Then Pass It On”. He had last been seen early that September, living on the street near the entrance to the mall under the World Trade Center Plaza.
His friends back in the mid-West gradually received those homemade CDs bearing their return addresses. John had apparently left them at various rest area pavilions and little coffee shops while hitchhiking back East in 2001. This project features songs the “friends of folkpunk” have recorded by dubbing over the original tracks found on those homemade CDs. Here is a testament to John E. Stoker’s last days. May stones in your life be as light as clouds!
