19Ninty_ pays homage to Heidorgen's mom who went by the name Mixtress Venus. She was a resident DJ at Vancouver club Graceland in the late 80's / early 90's. She knew how to pack a punch with her unique and groovy DJ sets which kept the dance floors going all night long. The vocal samples heard in 19Ninety_ are by none other than Mixtress Venus when she played her 1990/1991 New Years Eve show to a sold out audience at Graceland.

19Ninety_ takes influences of that time period with
a modern infusion of house production and synth manipulation.

SLUMP is the third and final single of Omegah 32 (Heidorgen's EP release date Sep 29 2022).

This bass heavy track takes sound design and bass growls and vowels to add a certain "OOMPH" to the mix. The instrumental track hits the listener in the stomach without making them feel sick.

Our next guest is the wicked Canadian 🇨🇦 DJ and producer Heidorgen AKA Doryan Heijnen - a talented and potent selector and vibe doctor.

Hailing from Vancouver, Heidorgen's music reflects his love of sound design with playful samples and glimmers of the 90s hip-hop he was raised on. Heidorgen writes, records and produces his groovy, House & Electronic music with slick production values - but always with a little unexpected flair.

After finishing a diploma in Audio Engineering and Music Production at SAE Vancouver in 2018, he has been honing his production skills and techniques to deliver his first official release ‘OMEGAH32’ (named after his deceased friend who went by that moniker.)

Other counter-culture music genres influence his selection, mixing and production. Sample-based music production also heavily influences his unique sound.

Today, Heidorgen steps up to the PUZZLED Radio throne with an exclusive guest mix and delivers a sprawling and red hot hour of Funk, Hip-Hop, Disco, House, Deep House, Tech & Electronica music.

That's Not My Name

First of two live mixes from our Halloween event - Freaks Come Out at Night on October 25th 2019. 
This mix was created for my good friend and disk jockey pal Bart who recently lost most of his records and equipment in a house fire. Bart has always been a huge inspiration to me and his passion for music and sharing his knowledge has such an impact on me. He once lent me a bunch of hip-hop CDs for me to listen to while visiting The Netherlands and I learnt and heard so much cool new material I never knew existed until then. Since that visit I have always enjoyed sharing some good music with those around me. Bart has such a passion for boogie and funk music and this music is in honour of those kinds of jams.

Boogie Beats the Dust Vol II

HEIDORGEN

Growing up Heidorgen gravitated towards hip-hop culture inspired by the likes of @wearedelasoul, @aesop-rock-official, and @runthejewels, with further influences coming from House, Garage, Funk, Jazz, & Soul.

After a decade of writing rhymes as an emcee, he went on to discover his eclectic influences and develop his own unique style of sample-based electronic music whilst also completing a degree in Audio Engineering and Music Production at SAE Institute Vancouver.

His crisp and intriguing production and sound design is evident in his growing portfolio of impressive work, which has included working on film sets as an audio engineer & boom-operator, as well as in post-production as a Foley artist & sound mixer and designer.

As a DJ, @Heidorgen has performed with the likes of @Moases, @tru-msg and @AtomikBros and is currently working on a live performance merging live instrumental, turntablism and Ableton Push.

2024 sees @Heidorgen continue to evolve his production style merging UK Garage and House music with his prominent style of sample chops and session arrangements.
