Charger is the result of two dreams. I dreamt two melodies and decided to put them in a song. It’s about loving and wanting to stay close to things that inspire me and make me happy. First, my home, the Laurentians: its snow, its comfortable silence. And a girl: wanting to stay close to her, with everything she is. But inside all the love, there is also the pressure of wanting to be enough for both of them.

I was about to be late at work but I still sat down at the piano. The song just appeared right away. It’s really simple but I liked the melody and I had to work on it so I wouldn’t forget it. I was late at work. Road Wage is about the leaves changing in the fall. How they transform into something beautiful as they die. It’s also about how stupid little things like getting angry for nothing on the road are futile in this environment.
