Our next release is an important milestone. This is the 10th release so we have a reason to celebrate a bit.
In today’s oversaturated market it is really challenging to build a label from scratch. We want to say a big thank you to all the great artists who are behind ZENEBONA RECORDS and of course also to you, and all to our fans. It wouldn’t be possible without you.

We are proudly announcing 'Alright, Come Close EP' which is also a message to all the talented producers out there to come and get in touch with us.
This is the debut of the Highway Records label boss and it is an absolute pleasure for us to have him. Mike Spirit is a unique guy in the scene, a musical pioneer with a charming personality. Mike doesn't want to be part of the herd, his sound is always unique. Both original tracks are super fine house tunes with some tricky sounds. Hard to put them in a category, but outstanding productions indeed.

The other big thing is that we are welcoming on board Soulfeed with an amazing, smooth deep melodic remix. Behind the curtains are Elad and Oren, two experienced guys from Israel who really knew what we needed here. Elad is also the label boss of Take Away Music.

The third remix is from Peter Makto who opened this label as a love project, to keep his passion for the deeper sounds alive. The usual groovy, ass shaking remix that he is well known for.

So here you have the spirits of Highway Records, Take Away Music & Truesounds Music all together on Zenebona Records. That’s why we love the music scene so much, because if we stick with the spirit of this simple rule: music is our connection – we can always do amazing things!

"The latest release on Tash’s Movement Recordings welcomes Simos Tagias back to the label for a brand new EP entitled ‘Illumination’. The Greek artist has become a mainstay of label roster with this being his tenth appearance. As one of the most recognized names in progressive house, the Athens resident has showcased his music on Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat Music, Cid Inc’s Replug Records, Beatfreak Recordings and Sound Avenue. Now fresh off a remix for Praveen Achary’s Juicebox Music, Simos makes a welcome return to Movement Recordings with a new EP alongside a remix from James Trystan.

Beginning with the title and showcase piece ‘Illumination’’ Simos crafts a proper slice of astral techno. Tough beats, electric rhythms and raspy stabs begin the nine minute journey. Senses heighten as elastic designs and cosmic effects unite across a devilish first act. Percussive flurries and metallic melodies further advance the narrative, flowing effortlessly into a dramatic break. Sinister in tone, the interlude saturates your senses with a cascading lead theme, opening up with each successive loop, before reaching an exhilarating crescendo. The companion piece ‘Kabul’ follows a similar sonic ethos, making it a perfect complement to its predecessor. Sitting at the heart of the piece is a tightly wound groove and distinctive percussive narrative. Ominous and intriguing, it’s arcane nature is inviting as growling swells, astral arps and subtle vocal fragments make for an incredibly heady journey. The storyboard becomes fully realized in the main break, melting down to a cosmic collage, before waves of beats and percussion spark a powerful third act.

The lone interpretation of ‘Illumination’ is provided by James Trystan who makes his label debut. The UK artist continues to be one of the melodic techno scenes most steadfast producers, having racked up an impressive string of discography credits, most notably for Bedrock, Eleatics, Steyoyoke and Suara. Now making his first appearance on Movement Recordings, James provides a powerful rendition of ‘Illumination’. Always a creative remixer, James reinvents the main elements into something decidedly more poignant, sitting as an ideal complement to the original. Atop a muscular groove, comes buzzing synths and hypnotic arps. It’s unique contrast of grit and shimmer results in a remarkable sonic marriage, one which makes for a hugely energetic yet quite tasteful journey, elegantly peaking through a dramatic break, before a buzzing final act puts a cap on this cosmic gem. A stunning remix from James which rounds out a hugely successful return to Movement Recordings for Simos Tagias."

Amir Telem's Seek No Further EP is what we call a grenade. Driving basslines and playful synths slowly raise your pulse rate. The main track is infused with crunchy percs and an indescribable mystical atmosphere, so that the listener doesn't have to search for his eargasm under any circumstances.

Amir is a master when it comes to build-ups. You can also hear this very well in the 2nd floorpiece. Never Forgotten is characterized by a rousing bassline, a very catchy melody and a distinctive vocal.

With his remix of Never Forgotten, Renga Weh makes sure that this EP is anything but uniform. With his typical character the track gets a completely new face. A little more dreamy but just as driving and rousing as the original.

The second Never Forgotten Remix is served by Ander, an expert in production and live performance. We couldn't be more satisfied by his first appearance on our imprint. A multifaceted interpretation, which gains a new character through the cloudy harmonic melodies. Playful, captivating and melodic.
