DJ, producer, compulsive vinyl collector, caffeine consumer, and music seeker, TJ is the founder of the vinyl site BeatCaffeine.com. He currently is also the Director of Marketing at SFJAZZ, hosts BeatCaffeine Radio on Motion FM, and has been actively deejaying for over 20 years, hosting numerous nights throughout the Bay Area, including the monthly jazz dance event Rebirth at Phonobar in San Francisco.

Mysteries of the Deep is a New York-based record label, podcast, and event series — focused on ambient & experimental music in various forms. Mysteries — as fans lovingly call it — is concerned with exploration of unknown realms, and its focus, in addition to showcasing a dynamic spectrum of electronic music from foremost artists in the field, is to thoughtfully engage its audience. 

Conceptualized in 2011, Mysteries began as a podcast series that, now in its eleventh year, has hosted an array of mixes and original works. The project has since evolved, expanding into a curated global event series and record label.

The Minimal Wave label was founded by Veronica Vasicka in 2005 to create a network for synth wave enthusiasts and promote 80s electronic music via an online archive and vinyl releases. The label specializes in high-quality vinyl pressings of electronic artists from all over the world. Our sub-label Cititrax focuses on modern and experimental electronic dance music. Aside from limited edition vinyl releases, both labels' catalogs are available digitally as well.

Para aquellas composiciones que se interpretan en tiempo musical moderado, AKUMANDRA surge como espacio de proyección sonora donde los creativos reproducen y difunden sus proyectos para el publico ávido de captación de conceptos vanguardistas que recrean el oído y el animo desde la perspectiva de una posición observadora que se abre en una tienda de resultados originales en la creación musical.

For compositions that are interpreted in moderate musical time, AKUMANDRA surfaces as a projection space for sound in which the artists reproduce and diffuse their projects to a public hungry for the reception of vanguardist concepts. Concepts that recreate hearing and mood from a perspective of a positioned observation opened unto an amalgam of original results in musical creation.

In the ’90s, a move to the UK brought Lateral Movement into the heart of a vibrant music culture, where he explored a wide range of genres, from free jazz to indietronica. Returning to Portugal meant leaving behind that diversity, which led him to focus on supporting alternative music scenes and connecting with others who shared similar values. Over time, this turned into a personal journey of discovering and sharing music. Today, his passion lies in the deeper, hypnotic sides of techno, where ambience and atmosphere take the lead.
